Watching HD / Husky commentaries, they often refer to what they are doing as "casts" and sometimes "shoutcasts" or "blastcasts". I guess "cast" is short for broadcast, but what do the other two mean? And what other types of "casting" are there? Do other games use this terminology as well?
La Mulana's fourth children, the Fish Men, were cast out by the mother just like all the other children that she created...but near as I can tell, there's no reason given as to why they were forsaken. Do any of the tablets hint at why they were cast out like the other children? Or is it left completely unsaid?
If I cast Haunt on an enemy and it's ticking along, and then later cast Piranhas on the same enemy (which gives a 15% damage bonus against affected enemies), will Haunt do more damage for the duration of the Piranhas, or does Haunt have to be re-cast to gain the effects of the new damage buff?
Suppose I have several units selected (ilusions, meepos, etc.). I want to cast an ability of first unit, switch to second, cast ability of the second, switch to third, etc. Is it possible to make all switching here automatic? So I press cast-cast-cast-... only, not cast-switch-cast-switch-cast-switch-...
Are there any weapon procs that will work when you cast a spell as an Embermage? Mana steal has no effect but what about other procs?
I've gone to Winterhold to join the college, and at the entrance I'm required to demonstrate my ability to use magic to Faralda. I've been told I need to cast Fear, so I bought it from her. However, I'm not sure who or what I'm supposed to cast it on: if I try to cast it on Faralda, I'm told she's too high level to be affected by the spell. What do I need to do to show Faralda I know how to cast the Fear spell?
What are some spells you use other than Double-Super-Soaker-Lightening-Beam (and shield)? I've discovered that healing rocks (life + earth) self cast is better than just life self cast, and heals your party around you, and is very strong when fighting undead. What are some other useful combinations?
I recently got my hands on one of these from Kedala. Here is the link to the mask: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/the-grin-reaper It's a cool mask. But does the mimics actually do any damage at all? Firebats seem to proc them pretty often so they are always there, but what is their own proc rate of casting a spell? I've seen them cast Firebats, Zombie bears. But their proc rate of casting spell seems variable, they seem to cast Firebats all the time, but cast Zombie Bears once in a while, Grasp of the Dead very very rarely and never cast Piranha. Which spells benefit most from
, and I have focus set, it should heal the focus If it comes here, it doesn't really matter what it does, whether the macro does nothing or it heals me or something completely different What I tried: #show Healing Breath cast @mouseover Healing Breath cast @focus Healing Breath What happens is that it never heals focus. It will either heal my mouseover target, or it seems the first cast line there falls back to me if it doesn't have a mouseover target, never reaching the third line for focus. Is there any way to do what I want, other than to break up the macro into two?
In Oblivion I remember being able to cast spells while wielding a bow. Very useful for healing spells and night eyes. In Skyrim though either I'm missing something, or do I have to equip a single handed weapon first before I can cast?
