How are train breakdown events determined?

  • How are train breakdown events determined? Jerrod

Getting heavy into Pocket Trains lately. As one builds up it becomes increasingly more expensive to expand with more rail roads. I'm finding it difficult to build up cash due to an oddly common incident: train breakdowns. My question to you: What things affect how often a train breaks? Is it just the type of train? Or does number of engines and fuel cars have an effect?

I'm playing on iOS if that matters.

  • The breakdowns are purely random. Engines, fuel cars, length of travel, cargo, and so on have no effect on the breakdowns.

  • I'm playing the original The Settlers game in DOS. It seems like your knights train up from level 1 to level 5 relatively quickly at the main castle (as I said, relatively; the game is slow so it's still like an hour). Do they train up at the same speed in storage depots, or is it a bit slower? I see they also train up when they're stationed in large garrisons too, but I think that is definitely slower.

  • How do you make a tunnel in A train 8. I have got the tunnels lined up and at the same elevation but the train refuses to go through.

  • I trained up my detection skill to level one, I'm now trying to train it up again both from the same guy but for some reason he won't let me train anymore. It says that its for levels 0-3 and my skill is only level 1. How can I fix this so I can train again?

  • I independently confirmed this aswell. I recently bought the scrapyard property and capped out at 5000 from destroying police vehicles; in the SE train tunnel I called the police and continually lured them out only to destroy their vehicles in the tunnel (As bonus the train comes through and does additional damage to vehicles/cops/NOOSE). Once I'm out of ammo I jumped on a train heading north into yet another tunnel, erasing my 5-star wanted level. TL;DR Do the weekly earnings roll over? I'm pretty sure after ~4 house of the above I destroyed more than 33.3 vehicles.... Also how exactly

  • I'm able to successfully board a train by dropping down from overhanging platforms, but even once I have worked my way to the front of the train the "enter vehicle" button fails to work. How do I enter the train so I can control it?

  • I've started up a new game of Animal Crossing: New Leaf and I'm trying to decide on a layout for my new town with Rover on the train. I'm trying to take future buildings and such into account in my decision in order to optimize my layout. While I know that you can eventually build more bridges in the town, I'm wondering if you're ever able to build more ramps to the beach. I see that you start out with only 2, and on one of the maps I'm looking at as a potential choice, they're quite far away from each other. Is this ever offered as a town improvement or is this one of the things

  • Microsoft Train Simulator has apparently an issue with timing. It gives running time-of-day clock, but the more stations I have to stop at, the more it becomes off. For instance, I were to stop... the processor too much. One solution would be to match both on- and off-track time step values, but I would like to understand more how are those used exactly, how low ore high I should go when setting those..., and during one hour run the error goes up to the magnitude of four to six minutes. And that is very significant as to keep on schedule one has to constantly calculate average speed necessary to arrive

  • Been playing Final Fantasy VI again because of having more free time on my hands and I haven't played it in years. HOW THE HELL DID I BEAT THE PHANTOM TRAIN BEFORE?! My version on this play through as my characters all have strange names like Mash instead of Sabin, but I can't see that as a reason as to why he totally trashes me. I still have Shadow in my party and I don't feel particularly under-levelled. I'm around 75% sure I can finish him with a Pheonix Down but this always feels dirty to me. Is there something I should know about? Or am I just going to have to level up?
