I recently tried to get back to playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning on my PS3 after a year-long break and I've run into a strange glitch (as I think of it now, it might have been a reason I stopped playing the game).
Whenever I try to move my character he takes a couple of steps and just freezes mid-step, for as long, as I hold the stick forward.
Only ways to keep moving are:
Please note it's not the question of the game lagging or freezing; it's only my character that stops moving. I'm also sure my controllers (both of them) work fine - I have no problems in any other game with proper functioning of left stick.
I tried to do a search for possible solutions to this bug, but apart from finding some evidence of more people experiencing it, I had no luck. There were mentions of using a save from before the bug appeared, but it's not a solution, really.
Has anyone run across something similar? Is there a solution to this, that would let me continue playing my current save?
For some reason every time I try to run by using the Shift key (and W) for example, my character just stops moving. I can't get him to run while walking by pressing the Shift key after the W key... forward. This seems to be some sort of bug. I can get around this for now, by jumping forward first, then mid-jump pressing the Shift key so that when he lands I already have Shift+W pressed. Then he starts running after completing the jump. I am wondering if some config video quality setting could be causing this problem. Does anyone know of a solution to this to allow my character to run normally
It is well known that Kingdoms of Amalur is one of the many games that employ the online pass method of encouraging new purchases (and for making more off of used copies). Snooping around the internet before purchasing the game, I noticed that on the Xbox (I imagine the same holds for the PS3) the code needs to be redeemed via the Marketplace as can be seen in the following instruction leaflet: When I launched the copy I recently bought through Steam, I saw a "multiplayer" key code pop up, but it apparently has nothing to do with the online pass (and the game didn't prompt me to enter
I know that the demo for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has a 45 minute time limit, but how does it enforce that limit? Is it 45 minutes of play time from starting up the game or creating a character, then thats it? Or is it 45 minutes playing a character, then if you want to play some more, you need to start again with a new character, and can do so as many times as you like? Also, does anyone know if they will let you use the save games from the demo in the full version? (assuming you can actually save the game, I'm still downloading it)
in the past for me, so it's probably either an update on my end or theirs. I'm well and truly into the "throw solutions at the wall and see if any of them work" stage. Things I have tried: Deleting... solution I might not have tried as yet? ...I'm having trouble with Bit.Trip Runner on my laptop, installed using Steam. I try to open the game, it tries to do its "initial install", then thinks for a moment with a black screen, before

On one of these computers, it is not possible to save items past a certain point in my inventory. After playing around with it for far too long, it seems that once I pick up more than one pistol magazine (or possibly bandage), my inventory becomes "stuck" such that any additional stuff I get disappears when I logout and any items I

Most of the hidden achievements in KoA seem to resolve themselves through normal game play (defeat this guy, complete on hard, etc) so I imagine the answer to this one is going to be along the same lines. According to the lists of Steam, Xbox360 and PS3 achievements these 5 are specific to Steam. Exterminator Give Her a Hand Keep on Rising Manic Pixie Dream Elf Message in a Bottle What are the requirements of these 5 achievements? (I should note that Steam shows 0.1% of players have achieved them, so they are being awarded.)
I seem to be having an issue with my local map in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. As you can see, it shows the proper icons, but it doesn't show the actual roads. This makes planning my route to my next quest objective (or even finding my way) extremely difficult. I did notice, however, that whenever I first entered an area (specifically a cave), I was met with this map: Well, wait a minute... (such as the cave in the pictures above). Once I reach a certain distance from the cave entrance, however, it returns to the black background with various icons shown.
and a location on the Fast Travel system, there were no indicators anywhere that there should be anything preventing me from moving on. I've tried reloading the game, and hopping back to Claptrap's... is running). After re-starting the game though, I found myself in Liar's Berg again. Checking the Fast Travel station, I couldn't find any links to Three Horns. The only links I saw were (in no particular order): Southern Shelf Claptrap's Place Oasis Badass Crater of Badassitude Unassuming Docks Hunter's Grotto The Raid on Digistruct Peak So, at this point, I thought maybe my only choice
