Alright, so my old PS3 is broken, won't turn on at all, and if it does, immediately shuts off on it's own immediately after it turns on or a few minutes after which. That's all fine and good, because most of the data I have on there is stuff I can easily do again, or at least enjoy again. However, my main concern is for my Little Big Planet 2 data. I'm not playing through all of that again, because I don't need to. You see, I'm a composer and I used to use the music sequencer in LBP 2 to compose my music. But the PS3 broke, and I got a new one for Christmas.

Is there any way for me to be able to take the LBP 2 data from my old PS3 and put it in the new one? I want to be able to look at the notes of my songs and re-create them on FL Studio. It would be a great help if somebody would tell me how, if there is any way, so I don't have to re-make all of them by memory!

  • If you care enough for the data, you still could try to repair it (not necessarily personally of course) to state it could work for a hour or two. That could be enough to back up LBP2 data to external hard drive.

If you fail at repairing it you can do nothing about it, unfortunatelly.

I tried putting my PS3 into the fridge for 30 mins and after trying it it worked no problem until it heated again. From sony techical support they said that fixing it would cost me around $175, but buying a new slim or super... you pick? I'm not too short on money, so I don't have to work with minimal budget. Fixing the machine would be the cheapest, but of course there is the time I would have to use disassembling

  • I had two profiles with Scott Pilgrim save data before I lost my first PS3, which I (thought I) restored to my new PS3 via a backup. However, since the Wallace update, when I go to try and play the game again I only get the option to play as the "Guest" profile, which cannot save data. My main profile (which is connected to a PSN account and owned my old play data) is not accessible at all. I created 2 new profiles and these profiles show up alongside Guest (and presumably can actually save their data). Is there any way to allow my main account to create save data for this game again

  • I need some enlightenment here. I owned my PS3 like 2 years ago, but it was broken, I can't turn it on. So I bought a 2nd hand PS3 from a different person. My old PS3 has all the saved data and there is one downloaded game in it. I have searched on the Net on how to transfer saved games and all, but all requires the other PS3 to be still functional and mine doesn't work anymore. I heard placing the hard disk drive on the new PS3 won't work either since they are encrypted and if I want to use it, I have to format it? I need clarification here and I'd love to know if there are any other ways

  • I recently punched my 3DS while playing Mario Kart and cracked the screen. I've bought a new 3DS console, but can't do a System Transfer because the broken 3DS can't connect to the internet. Is there any way I can use the old SD card with all of my saved data in my new 3DS? I tried to transfer the data, from the old card to the new card, but the data will not appear in the new console. I don't want to lose my Ambassador Certificate and NES & Gameboy games!

  • me to my question. I have only ever made it to 5 items 'piling up'. I had already owned all of them so I had left them there. But after 5 days new items stopped arriving. I don't remember...I don't actually sell any of my items on the flea market. I just go in to sell to Reese. Because my flea market is almost always empty, MOST of the time there is a new item being sold by a villager... whatever the problem was and for a few more days still nothing showed up until one day there was another item finally. After this point they started arriving every day again. I don't know what I did

  • ($$) or by transferring data from the old system to the new one through provided system tool on the console. (Problem with latter case is that you have to have both consoles up and running at that time, which is not the case if you buy a new one cause the first one crashed, or if you sell the old one to be able to buy the new one). I then wanted to know if there is a somewhat official and up-to-date (maintained) list of games fitting this category so that I can know if I'm concerned or not and if my external HDD backup is enough or not in case my console crashes. I've seen some lists here

  • Possible Duplicate: What data does the PS3’s backup utility preserve? I have a 2.5" HDD I'm going to replace in my PSE, but I do not have a spare hard drive I can use as to backup the PS3 to and restore to the new drive. I was thinking I could use the hard drive I'm going to put in the PS3 as a temporary backup drive, transfer the files onto my computer and then put that drive... normal. Is this process possible? The reason why I want to do this is because most of my current games are downloaded from the PS Store and I don't want to have to go through the process of downloading
