Today I finished my 3-day long, Classic+Ironman run and aimed to get these 4 achievements: "Earth First", "Ain't No Cavalry Comin'", "No Looking Back" and "An Army Of Four". All my soldiers lived until the very end (I did change one Assault for another and made him the one, my Heavy was the one I kept in all missions) and I got all the achievements except for "An Army Of Four". My only fails were taking down the UFO Overseer twice. I constructed the Officer Training School late in the game and bought all the trainings except for "Squad Size I" and "Squad Size II". I did cheat Ironman with closing the game and restarting to improve every turn, but sometimes it took me back to the situation room right before accepting panic, abduction, etc. missions. (Maybe that has something to do?)
Now, the achievement in Steam says "Beat the game without buying a Squad Size upgrade (Classic+ difficulty)" I've done some Google research and all I've found are the descriptions of the said achievement.
My question is, why I didn't get the achievement? Probably I missread it, or did something not so obvious to not get it.
I am playing on Classic difficulty, and where I used to have three Autosaves for a mission, I now only have one (i.e. the same file is rewritten each turn, so I can't go back a turn). Did this setting get changed after a game update, or might this be a bug? I did some googling, but didn't find anything. (I have read about an issue where once you reach 100 saves, your saves are listed out of order, but this isn't the case, because the one autosave is at the top.) EDIT: To clarify, I am not playing Ironman. The game autosaves at the beginning of each turn, and I can go back and reload
Other than just playing the game constantly, and hoping the game will randomly dish out four of the same fruit in a row, is there any way to influence the game to give out four pears in a row? I've got all achievements in the WP7 version of this game, with the exception of the two for getting four fruit in a row, and four pears in a row in classic mode. Do the different blades or backgrounds have any effect, or are they purely cosmetic? I'm up to over 15,000 fruit killed in this game, and I kinda thought I would've managed to get these achievements by now.
My first game was Classic Ironman, and things went pretty well for a while. I got a free satellite at some point during the tutorial and even managed to survive for a few missions afterwards! Then all my veterans got wiped out on a bomb disposal mission, and my next two teams of redshirts got wiped out in the next two missions. It was pretty much game over. Since then, I've started probably 15 new games of Classic Ironman, skipping the tutorial, and in a few of them I've made it a few missions past the first UFO crash before giving up and restarting after calamity fell. However, I never seem
After hearing that Super Meat Boy is finally available for Linux via Steam I've gone back to playing it and imported my already existing save game into Steam by moving it to the steamapps folder. Now...) multiple times (both before importing the save game into Steam and after), which, according to all the information I found, should unlock it. I've also tried starting Steam and Super Meat Boy on Windows... in one of McMillens games? If the latter is the case, is there any workaround like the achievement fix for The Binding of Isaac? If not, what else can I try to get the achievement?
I just did some side quests after Tuchunka (I forgot how it's spelled exactly, sorry.) and I went back to my ship to speak with Garrus, because he's one of my favorite characters. I find that he isn't there. I press V to open my ship map, go through all the areas, and he's nowhere to be seen. Everyone else is there, and I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything to make him leave. (If that's even possible.) It's sort of worrying me, because he's the most important person that I take along on missions. Yes, I've become attached to a video game character. But seriously, is this a glitch or did I do
In Metro 2033 if I repeat missions from the "Load" option can I still work on achievements like "Get 20 kills with a throwing knife" when I finish the campaign. So if I killed 18 people during my play through if I go back to a specific mission can I get 2 kills with a throwing knife and get the achievement? Or do I have to start the game again?
I've gotten all the achievements of the game, except this one. It says 'Clear 20 stone slabs using long chains', and I'm pretty sure I've cleared as much by now. Do I have to clear them with ONE chain? Or in one level? I figured it couldn't be that difficult as some 43% of all players on Steam have this achievement, but somehow it won't work for me. Any ideas on what I am missing, or how I can complete the achievement?
For an experiment, I tried staying peaceful and waiting for a holy war to amass piety. I was Venice and had 1 county with a 6 size. I thought it was going well - I had almost 500 piety and I had plenty of children (about 7), and an heir. All of a sudden I die and suddenly my son is just a patrician of one holding only, and with a liege. All my piety and prestige is gone! What did I do wrong? Note that I can't replay as I am in ironman mode. The law is republic but I don't think it was before... Oops, now the game is over, we lost an invasion war and I received the message "You have become
Valet Hero has achievements for collecting all keys at each of the first five levels. I unlocked four of them, but I'm still missing the achievement for the very first one: Driver's Education. Normally the achievement pops when I get 4 stars on the bronze, silver, and gold challenges. I have that (and 38 cars parked in marathon mode), so I'm not sure what I'm missing. Is there anything I can do to get the achievement or is it permanently glitched?
