I'm currently racing the A-Spec Extreme series, and despite having won the Nascar Series with a gold, the last race, the best I can do is last. Last by about 15 seconds!
I managed to start lapping about 43s a lap and then it seems to drop off to about 47-48s a lap.
I noticed that I'm losing speed in the corners whereas the computer drivers, watching the replay at least can corner at 198-202mph, whereas I'm running about 185mph, which is losing my seconds lap on lap.
Are there any tips? Setup tricks? Or advice for racing this race? I've tried Soft compound racing tyres, tweaking up and down downforce, and tinkering with suspension, but I can't seem to corner fast enough to stick with the pack.
I do understand that Nascar is aggressive and you do need to block the line and train to draft and such, but you need to be in the pack to do that!
The trick with NASCAR driving is to turn off the ABS. That was the only way I could complete the Jeff Gordon special events.
After the last race in the 5th season on F1 2011 (Brazil) what happens? Do you keep racing or is it game over
rides? (I do own all of the available DLC cars, with the exception of the Stig pack, because I'm not shelling out for "ultimate" just for that. That said, I didn't get the VIP pack until last night... I never saw in the game yet, like a Shelby GT500KR. Others I already owned. Many were R-series or higher. Most are decked out in sweet race livery, including several branded as Turn 10 or Forza...Not that I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth, I'm just curious. Last night I was playing Forza Motorsport 3, and decided to start getting serious with the season play mode. (I'd done most of my
I'm playing Need for Speed Shift on my PS3, which I borrowed from a good friend of mine. On every race I can play there is a red dot in the top left corner and the name and laptime of my friend... green with my name and laptime next to it. After the third race I'm not able to change the dot and information, even if I beat his time. So which are the requierements to change these dots to green? It cannot be simply "beat the time", because I got a lot of events where my personal best (you can see this in the raceinformation) is far better then his.
We'd like to do some truck racing on the Los Santos freeway system. Because you cannot (currently) select a truck in a race "job" we're going to have to do this in freemode. The problem is we need to get 2-6 truck/trailer units to the same location to start the race. With this in mind where is the best place to find truck/trailer units in Los Santos/ Blaine County? Are there places where truck/trailers always spawn?
So in the normal run of the game, it seems that the merchants always change their inventory when you come back to town. But if you leave town and come right back, they do not necessarily change. To try and find out, I loaded up my Engineer, checked the Armorer and the Gem seller, walked out of town, and then waited 30 seconds before re-entering. I came in, checked their inventories, and left, which took about 20 seconds each time. That's a 50 second cycle, but I waited a full minute on my first town exit. The stated times include load screens (about 2 seconds in either direction; I
I'm playing Formula 1 2011 for the 3DS and I can't for the life of me figure out how to actually start my racing career. I went to the Career menu, then opened the Laptop and accepted two trial invitations. They show up on my calendar, but I don't see any way to actually go and race. How do I start one of those trials?
, and hence, roughly the same speed. Once I get a chance to pull out ahead, then I'm fine. But if I'm stuck in or near the pack and can't just accelerate out, I'll get into the middle of a corner, and then get smashed into the wall by the car behind me (the infamous "Zombie A.I."), and then before I can escape, smashed again by the next car, and the next. So very quickly, instead of a close race for first or second place, I'm back in 6th place by a couple seconds. And I have no trouble driving well enough to close the gap, but as soon as I'm in the pack again, I get smashed into the walls
In Sonic and the Sega All-Stars Racing (iPad port. Oh, well, probably technically iOs port), you cannot "accelerate" - the game does that for you automatically. At the same time, when I time-race, I can see the "ghost" version of myself takes off at the beginning of the race. I did a bit of reading, and found that in the console versions of the game you can "accelerate" at the start if you hold the accelerate button at the start of the race. Is there some alternative to do this on the iPad?
In the Seasonal event from August 1st, 2012, what is the best car to use in the 5 lap Tsukuba race (the first one). The event is a 420PP, 80's Japanese car race with comfort soft tires, and it's 5 laps. The lead car is usually 25-30 seconds ahead of you by the end of the first lap and I've never been able to get any closer than maybe 12 seconds from the first place car. The track is so short that it's difficult to see where to make up 3-4 seconds a lap when I'm already doing 1:08-09's. Is there a car that makes this race easier? Were there any special modifications needed?
