  • Difference between the restaurant and the market galacticninja

It seems that both the restaurant and the market are used by Tropicans to satisfy their 'food' desires. Since the restaurant has the added convenience of also satisfying the 'entertainment' desire, I am thinking that it is better to build a restaurant, instead of a market, whenever possible.

Am I correct, or do markets have another advantage or work differently than restaurants?

  • I don't have Tropico 3, so I'm basing this off Tropico 4 (which I've heard is quite similar). I believe the main difference is that a restaurant can have an entry fee (which means you'll make some money back), but it also has a higher initial cost and higher upkeep. If you use the entry fee to try to offset the higher costs, then only Tropicans that have enough money available will be able to utilize it. So if you have a large number of low income Tropicans that don't live near food sources, you may still want a market to help them get their food.

  • In my single-player, Hard campaign game - I've found that Metsuke (the secret police of Shogun 2) agents are useful to boost income and catch enemy ninja. What confuses me is why I can't hire any more - the tool-tip indicates that it is based on the number of market-chain buildings I have, and I am sure I have more markets than Metsuke. Also, it is not clear whether an upgrade to a market counts as an extra 'market-chain' building - I am guessing that it doesn't.

  • I noticed that the default price for selling some crafting-related items seems to be much lower than the "market price". Since it's hard to tell what the actual market price is based on what's currently in the market, I'd like to have an application where I would record my sales and use that information to set the price. Is some application like that available? Either specifically for SWTOR or one that could be easily used with it.

  • I'm doing the assassination missions and playing the stock market. I have around 180 million at the moment. The problem I'm having goes roughly like this: I pick a stock on the market and enter the 'buy' page. I press on the '+' button until it's at the max amount of shares. I press 'buy'. On the next page, I click 'confirm'. On the page after that, I click 'continue'. I am shown my portfolio page; my portfolio is empty and no money has been removed from my account. This has happened for several different stocks, so it's not related to one particular company. I tried breaking up my

  • I just bought the season pass and apparently I need to go to the Blue Ribbon Restaurant to pick up the rewards. I'm in Finkton, so I'm a fair ways into the game. Is there any way to go back quickly?

  • I don't actually sell any of my items on the flea market. I just go in to sell to Reese. Because my flea market is almost always empty, MOST of the time there is a new item being sold by a villager. I just use this item as one more item I have access to each day. As long as the flea market is not full very often the items continue to pile up until the store is full (I would assume). Which brings... differently. Now the past few days I have a single item in the shop that I am not interested in and 2 days one more item showed up (that I bought leaving only the 1) but the past 2 days no new items have

  • I just can't seem to reach the restaurant at the edge of the universe in Dolphin Olympics 2. I've read a bunch of forum posts people have made, and I checked out this video (which was a little choppy), but there's still something I'm missing. I think it's the tailslides/starslides that are the key component that I can't seem to get right. What strategy should I be following, and (if they are necessary) how should I be performing the tailslides and starslides correctly?
