I was looking at the list of StreetPass accomplishments and noticed there are a few accomplishments that require you to StreetPass with Special Miis.
What are Special Miis? What makes them special? How do I find them?
Special Miis are Miis created for official promotions. Some are official game character Miis. For example, Capcom created Resident Evil: Revelations for Jill, Chris, Parker, and Jessica. Others, the kind StreetPass Mii Plaza gives achievements for, are gotten by StreetPassing special demo kiosks or Nintendo employees.
Special Miis are identifiable via their golden pants. You can't share QR codes for them, and apparently you cannot send them directly to someone else without losing them from your own plaza.
If you're trying to get that achievement, your best bet is to go to events like Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show, or PAX.
Nintendo also sent an Iwata Mii out via SpotPass on March 25th in Europe, and a Reggie Mii on March 27th in North America, to celebrate the first anniversary of the 3DS's release. You can meet them at StreetPass Mii Plaza and trigger the achievement.
(Special Miis are not new to the 3DS; the Wii also had them, but they were much less used given the poor state of WiiConnect24 outside of Japan.)
I was able to find a couple golden pants Miis through the internet and scan their QR code, but I have never Streetpassed with any (and I don't think it counts that way). Its because some of them were given out as QR codes in magazine ads and the like. These are Japanese ones from what I've found. They also seem to have a lot of special Miis for various celebrities.
Hopefully they will give some out via the internet. I heard people randomly received an official Nikki (from Swap Note) though I don't think she was a gold pants one. She did not show up for me though. It may have been because I already scanned the Japanese version.
Special Miis are Miis you get that are given to celebrate something special. Did you get Reggie from Nintendo? That's a special Mii. He was sent to users all around the world to celebrate the 1st year anniversary of the nintendo 3ds. So I hope I helped!
the 3DS Mii, my Mii will change on my Wii U as well, due to the Miiverse being an integral part of the Wii U. But what if I choose the Wii U's Mii? Will my Streetpass Mii change? Will I lose saves? I... need to overwrite either your NNID or 3ds system mii. the problem is both of these miis potentially have save game data linked to them. i know of various 3ds titles that have this, so i didn't...I just finished updating my 3DS to the new 7.0.0-13 update, which adds the Miiverse to the 3DS and finally combines the funds of both Wii U and 3DS e-shops. Right now, my 3DS is giving me the choice
I recently got a 3DS, and immediately set it up, including my Mii, the Streetpass Plaza, and Streetpass. I found one Mii, but after that, nothing. For example, I went to my brother's house and his 3DS found my Mii, but I couldn't get his. I also ran into a friend at dinner. Her's found me, but yet again I couldn't get her. I know it's not their systems being wonky as I have seen others pick up their Miis with no issues. My system and plaza and such have all been updated and I double checked to make sure that no parental controls are getting in the way. I'm not sure what's wrong with my
On Streetpass Mii Plaza, one of the games you can play is Puzzle Swap, where you get pieces either by paying with Play Coins, or by meeting new Miis on Street Pass. There is a large variety of panels/puzzles, and I was wondering if there was any bonus to completing one, other than just having a nice picture in your collection. Is there some sort of bonus here?
When I first got SpotPass on the Mii Plaza, it asked if you wanted to get new Miis using the Internet. I accidently pressed no, and now my plaza isn't filling up good. How can I get more miis into the plaza? There is a way to enable the internet option to get more miis?
The Striker/Bruiser accomplishments/achievements/tropies require you to "Kill 25/100 enemies with melee attacks" respectively. Seeing as I'm the "shoot enemies from far away as possible" type of player, I rarely get up close and personal, however, Husks that latch on to you can be killed by a melee counter. I wonder - does killing off a Husk latching on to you with the melee button count as a melee kill or do I have to actually kill enemies with the melee button?
StreetPass Mii Plaza 3.1 introduces tickets that can be redeemed for hats. The hats change daily, do the tickets also expire when the hats change or not?
In Wii Fit Plus I have two Miis and two pets. For some reason it binds the "wrong" pet to the "wrong" Mii. Essentially I'm playing with my girlfriend's dog, and she's playing with mine. Is there anything I can do about this?
Mass Effect 3 has several "Do X Y times" accomplishments for example, the "Bruiser" accomplishment which requires a certain number of melee kills. Do these accomplishments require me to complete all of these action on one playthorugh or does it stack between multiple saves? If progress does carry over between playthoughs, do I need to import a save into a new game for progress to carry over or can I start an entirely new save?
What is the maximum spy level in CivV Gods & Kings? Maximum level my spies have reached was "special agent", never managed to get them above this grade.
