I just bought a new Xbox 360 slim. How can I transfer ALL the data from the old Xbox to the New one?
What about downloaded content that I paid for? Can I re-download it?
Downloadable content should be able to be redownloaded at will, so you shouldn't have any issues there.
For your other content, such as saved games, movies, etc., you have a couple of options:
Once the data is transferred, you will also want to transfer your licenses for content. Instructions are available on the xbox 360 site.
you can download profile using xbox live in profile switch menu.
I recently punched my 3DS while playing Mario Kart and cracked the screen. I've bought a new 3DS console, but can't do a System Transfer because the broken 3DS can't connect to the internet. Is there any way I can use the old SD card with all of my saved data in my new 3DS? I tried to transfer the data, from the old card to the new card, but the data will not appear in the new console. I don't want to lose my Ambassador Certificate and NES & Gameboy games!
I have a game (actually, one I'm creating) that saves shared data; i.e. any profile can use it. Can I transfer this onto a USB/MU and use it on another xbox?
I learned that you could transfer a PC Skyrim save to Xbox 360 by simply changing the .ess extension to .dat then put the dat file inside the game shell using Modio. When I do that and try to load the transferred save the 360 says the disc needs to be cleaned. This only happens when I try to load the modded saves – if I create a new game all is fine. When I change the extension I simply rename filename.ess to filename.dat via right-clicking – am I doing something wrong? the only issue i can immediately see... is the characters names were different
My Xbox 360 USB stick came up corrupted after I tried to bring over my dad's Forza Motorsport 3 save files as well as the Motorsport Legends Car and Track Pack. I have since used PhotoRec to recover what I can but it recovered two directories worth of data but I have no idea how to go from here. Can someone please tell me how to get those files back onto a different USB from my computer?
Everytime I begin to play the multiplayer online in Red Dead Redemption on my Xbox 360 I begin with some basic weapons. Sometimes during the play and I get a lot of cool weapons and I don't know how to keep them to the next time. Maybe there is a way to save (since everytime I exit a message warns me about losing all data that is not saved, but I didn't found a way to save, sometimes just autosaves itself). So, How can I prevent losing all the money and weapons when I quit the game?
When i play grand theft auto, the game play starts off at a level which i have already completed, instead of my most recent progress. I can only access my most recent progress by accessing 'Load Game' - and even then, i have all 15 load game slots full and can't seem to save anymore without overwriting. Before i switch the console off my Xbox 360 i save the data How can i start off playing grand theft auto by picking up where i left it?
from the mounted image I took, but again, I get prompted to reconfigure it. How can I get the new XBox to recognise the USB drive formatted by the old model? ... on, and tried to recover my data from it. But the new XBox simply prompts me to configure it — it doesn't recognise the data on it at all. I have to admit, it didn't even occur to me that a byte...I used to own an older model XBox 360 (the big white model). I took a USB backup of my saved games, etc. to an 8GB USB stick. I then needed to use this USB stick for something else, so I used dd
Is it possible, if I have a 4gb S, to put my new hard drive in the 4gb S and copy the data over to the new hard drive just like a usb, then plug it into my new xbox? Or can I just put the new hard drive in the old 4gb xbox 360 S, copy the data over, and keep the hard drive in the old xbox without anything going wrong?
I just bought Shadowrun from Games for Windows, and I've had this game for Xbox 360 for a long time now. I'm trying to get the achievement for playing 100 matches as each class and I was wondering if I had to play all 100 matches again on the PC or if a server keeps track of my previous amount of playtime from when I played it on the Xbox 360? Shadowrun is one of the few games where PC and Xbox 360 user can play cross-platform, so I can hope the stats transfer between the two.
I need some enlightenment here. I owned my PS3 like 2 years ago, but it was broken, I can't turn it on. So I bought a 2nd hand PS3 from a different person. My old PS3 has all the saved data and there is one downloaded game in it. I have searched on the Net on how to transfer saved games and all, but all requires the other PS3 to be still functional and mine doesn't work anymore. I heard placing the hard disk drive on the new PS3 won't work either since they are encrypted and if I want to use it, I have to format it? I need clarification here and I'd love to know if there are any other ways
