When I installed StarCraft 2, I added all my "friends" from Facebook. The thing is I'm not really in touch with most of them, so I would like to trim the list a bit.

Do people you delete get notified when you delete them?

  • Notified? No, but they can see that you're no longer in their friend's list.

  • When looking at my friends list in Diablo 3, I noticed that there are several accounts listed that have no name. All my friends are accounted for, so I don't think that's the cause. My best guess at the moment is that they are the friends that I added during the beta, because I had to re-add them when the game released. If this is the cause for the phantom friends, how do I delete them?

  • I've got some "friends" on my Xbox Live friends list who aren't really that - they're people I rarely play with and who are more "friends of friends." Unfortunately, the friends list pings me every time they're online or doing something (ie, they start playing the game I'm playing) which is kind of inconvenient. I'm considering removing them, but I don't want to "cause a scene" and offend them (or my other friends) by removing them. What happens when I remove an Xbox Live friend? Do they get a notification? Does anything change from their perspective?

  • My PC is running Windows 7. I tried installing Steam. I downloaded the program. When I attempt to run it, it loads about half way and gives me an error message: Steam.exe (main exception): ERROR delete of Steam.exe failed, Win32 Error 5 "Access is denied" I have no idea why this would happen and cannot find any answers anywhere online or among my friends or colleagues. I've never had any problems with Steam before. I would greatly appreciate any help or advice given.

  • Frequently now, when I start Steam it auto logs in and take me to my Library. If I look to the bottom right corner, under VIEW FRIENDS LIST it says 0 Online. If I actually click this the Friends window pops up but asks me to 'sign in'. Doing so will have all my friends appear instantly so; it's as if Steam thought I said 'start in offline mode' or something. However this randomly happens during... a button to 'sign on', it just had a message that 'you cannot see friends in offline mode'. So I guess my condition is separate from that.

  • When I go to start a pre-owned game, I am met by this ominous warning: You cannot earn trophies in this application. Do you still want to start this application? Only the first player to use an application can earn trophies. To earn trophies, you must delete all data related to this application and then start the application. I don't have any data on my system and can't find data to delete. Does this mean I need to delete it from the original owner's Vita? Am I SOL or is there some easy way around this?

  • In Steam friends, you can organize your friends by "tagging" them (in your friends list, right click someone and select "Tag as"). It's convenient since it allows you to organize your contacts following the games you play together, the moment of the day when they are available, whatever. But once you have created a tag an assigned it to some of your friends, is it possible to modify the tag (rename it) ? delete the tag (and, hence, untag all the tagged friends) ?

  • this, as they would magically delete the audio files and require internet to get them back. Maybe my game's bugged? I have'nt done a full erase of .minecraft in a while. ...Strangely, with the new 1.2.5 update, if you ever force update or redownload the game to clear mods it doesn't download the audio files with at that point, it downloads them in the background as you play. But, with my setup, it downloads them again every time I start it! It's come to the point where I have to leave the game running at the main menu or risk sounds never coming back if my internet

  • experienced in the past few months. Basically, 90% of my games will not run in fullscreen. When I load them up, I merely get a black screen (with game audio as normal). Games that let me move to windowed... up to get it to respond). So if I can get them to run in windowed mode or borderless fullscreen windowed, they work fine. Initially, I assumed it was a driver problem, so, I uninstalled my current NVidia drivers, used an online guide to delete all traces of them as suggested, then updated to the latest ones to no avail. I have even tried backdating my drivers to the ones that came preloaded

  • Items like Barnabus' Mace and Arben's Sword are quest drops that I no longer need but are cluttering up my inventory. I can neither send them to my battle tower, nor sell them, nor delete them. Is there a way to remove them from my inventory at all?
