In Mass Effect 2, there was a point where you had to abandon doing any more side missions and focus on the main story to avoid serious consequences where half or the entire crew of the Normandy dies if you wait too long to rescue them.
However, it was possible to do all side missions and still save everybody if you were careful to delay obtaining the Reaper IFF until all side missions were done.
With Earth under attack there is a clear sense of urgency in Mass Effect 3, so I'm wondering if I really have time to go cruising around the galaxy, or if this will have negative consequences in the final outcome.
In other words, if I want to do as many side missions as possible, do I have to be careful to avoid consequences?
The attack on earth is taking it's time. You pretty well have to go on a system to system meander to fill up your war assets. If you don't then you'll need to play multiplayer or the IOS game to get your score high enough for the better endings.
Possible Duplicate: Are there any important points of no return? Like in Mass Effect 1, if you wanted to continue after you finished the game, you had to keep a save from before Illium. Is there a similar point in ME3? And if yes, where? (As spoiler free as possible please)
Possible Duplicate: Are there time-limited objectives in the game? In previous games, except for one mission, the main story missions could wait while side quests were completed with little to no consequences. Is that the case with Mass Effect 3? Obviously, completing side quests will increase Galactic Readiness, but does putting off Priority missions cost me more in the long run? I found this question, but it only pertains to one particular Priority mission.

In the previous two Mass Effect games, there were higher levels of difficulty that were only available after playing through lesser difficulties. Is that the case for Mass Effect 3? Possible Duplicate: Are my romance options in ME3 limited if I cheated on my ME1 romance in ME2? So, in Mass Effect 1, I had a romantic relationship with Ashley (what can I say, blue just doesn't do it for me). In Mass Effect 2, I left her in the dust and shacked up with Tali. Is there any way in Mass Effect 3 for me to repair my relationship with Ashley? Should I just pursue Tali again instead? I haven't gotten to the point where she's a squad member yet, but I do understand I'll pick her up eventually. Will either of these cause problems between the two of them? (Alternate

Possible Duplicate: Is there a new game plus for Mass Effect 3? Sorry if this is a duplicate. I checked but I didn't see this answered. I'm planning to wait for the Mass Effect 3 extended cut DLC later this summer but would like some confirmation on a few things: Can I play through Mass Effect 3 again with my same character? If so, what exactly can I keep (as far as stats) on the second play-through? Thanks.
