Has anyone had success with Voice Chat in StarCraft 2?
Starcraft 2 has an in-game microphone feature (push-to-talk), but it simply doesn't work.
My microphone is functioning outside of the game and when I talk I can see that it picks up my voice (the microphone waves move), but no one can hear me. Also, the microphone test does not work. My settings are fine, and it's not muted or anything.
Any idea on what to do?
And it's infuriating, because the test clearly indicates that the game can access your machine's mic and pick up sound.
Possible Duplicate: Has anyone had success with Voice Chat in StarCraft 2? This is for a friend. He has all the latest drivers. The game sound works fine, but he can't hear the rest of the party and we can't hear him. When he runs a voice test in sc2's voice test area, it does detect the input. TL;DR sound works for everything but voice chat. he can't hear us chat and we can't hear him. Here's a link to where its happening for someone else: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=979472
Possible Duplicate: How precisely does the StarCraft 2 handicap feature work? When I play "Create AI Game" or another multiplayer mode, appears the options: "difficulty", "race", "color", "disadvantage", where "disadvantage" is a percentual value, like "100%", "90%", "80%",... How this "disadvantage" works? It's a just starting disadvantage or some another thing?
Can I use the PULSE Elite headset for voice chat on the Xbox 360? I know it connects to the PlayStation via USB, and can connect to other devices by linking a 3.5 mm cable to the USB dongle. Is the dongle directly compatible with the Xbox? If not, is there another way to connect it in such a way that will allow voice chatting with the built-in microphone while also getting game and chat audio... on the controller. Further research seems to indicate that if I do manage to get it working through the controller, it will only be handling voice chat audio - no game audio output there. That would
My family has recently gotten into a Minecraft fix, my wife and I playing with our two children. Because it's the four of us, the Xbox 360 version is perfect. Recently Grandparents visited and were also enthralled with the game. If they get an Xbox we can sync up and all play together, but is it possible to do voice chat as well? The social aspect is the real selling point. I know Xbox has great voice chat support, but I wasn't sure if it was by game, or a universal feature. Does Minecraft on Xbox support voice chat?
yesterday, all buildings (and units in battles) are invisible. I'm using MacOS. I've had the game running for an hour or two and not one building has appeared. My outpost looks like a barren wasteland (albeit with some floating produce icons--the only way I can find my farms now!). Edit: five days later, there's no solution in sight. Z2 support said this is a known issue on iOS but not Mac OS X, and suggested reinstalling the game "several times." It still doesn't work, and I haven't the slightest idea why. Oh, and what's my question? Has anyone else seen this problem or similar
Starcraft 2 has an in-game microphone feature (push-to-talk), but none of my party members have had success in getting the Battle.net voice chat to work. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
. That's nice and all, but it still doesn't explain what happens when you call another player. Does anyone know what is supposed to happen when you call someone in-game? I even checked to see if any private chats or parties are created, but nothing happens! The phone just endlessly rings. Edit: (2 Days Later) Well it's been two days and I still have no idea what this feature does and, after... phone's contacts). I have tried this many times with many people while I was: In a party In a private chat In-game chat (no party/chat) Each time I tried calling another player (who also has
My friend's microphone makes wierd noises on skype when my 7.1 is on (g930), so when i talk to him i togle down the surround. Is there any way i can set my BF3 to 5.1/7.1 while my skype is on 2.1?
I cannot get my w key to work in Starcraft 2. I can assign a hotkey to it in settings, and it works in the chat, so it obviously "works", but it never works for unit command hotkeys. I have... characters. I use grid for lefties in Starcraft 2 For some reason, the w key does not register at all during gameplay. This is the c for the normal grid layout. Bottom row, 3rd column of the grid..., and a bug in Starcraft 2. It seems that while Starcraft 2 handles alternate keyboards surprisingly well, it falls short. I found that Starcraft will consider it a duplicate when a dvorak key and its
