I'm a relatively inexperienced TQ player. I've always found the game too easy at the start, and hence, too boring to play past Act 1. Up until now, I've played a Warden (Hunting + Defense).
This time, I'm playing coop with a friend, who will probably play a magic class, almost certainly including Spirit (mentioning this for potential synergies). We will use a mod that increases the difficulty immensely and heavily penalizes character death. To mix it up, I want to play a non-melee class. I've read about Ternion builds that are powerful, but using a single overpowered attack doesn't sound very fun.
What is a reasonably strong non-melee class for a new player who can't gear farm on a separate main and may not want to do the repetitive routine on his only character? It's not necessarily a gamebreaker, just something fun to play that is feasible and reasonably gear-independent. It doesn't also have to be a pure mage, a lot of people enjoy archery or beastmasters, it just has to be non-melee.
Its been a while since I played TQ, but I remember having great fun playing an elementalist(storm/earth) build focused around Squall. Squall is such a good spell since it makes all ranged attacks miss (huge bonus for a weak caster), and has great aoe.
If your friend is planning to be a tank for you, then going high DPS with Brigand (hunter/rogue) and a bow is not a bad idea but you won't have much survivability.
I know you said you want a non melee class, but if your friend is not going to be a tank you most certainly will want more survivability, and the Templar(dream/defense) is one of my favorite TQ classes of all time.
I'm playing SNES games on the Wii U virtual console and I've noticed an annoying quirk: the gamepad can be mapped to player 1 or 2, but the first Wiimote/Classic Controller pro I activate will ALWAYS be treated as player 1. This means that if I want to use the gamepad as player 1, I will need to leave TWO wiimotes on just to get one paired as "controller 2", since the gamepad doesn't count... controllers instead of three? I can change which player uses the gamepad, but what if I want to use the gamepad for player 1 anyway?

I already tried going two-on-one with an allied AI against a lone AI player, which didn't teach me anything because it was much too easy. I'm not looking for a curbstomp, I just want to keep the AI from curbstomping me long enough to learn to play. Is there a way to set up the starting conditions of a Defcon game...I've just started playing Defcon, and I've been learning the game by playing against the AI. The AI is tough. I am playing the Vendettas campaign offline (singleplayer) as Inugami, and noticed that he has 'aura' abilities, like 'Dark Melee Aura'. It is described as "Players standing close to Inugami receive a damage bonus to their melee strikes." Does this only affect allied players, or does this affect the player character too? Also, what about the other 'aura' abilities of Inugami and the other Vendettas characters?
I'm on my 3rd play through, i had some trouble with Sin's Gate because most of my party apart from Will was bellow level 50, the ones that were Level 50 was the Eushully Mascots however the Command Cost is quite high so i can't have a full party with them Now i'm aiming to get Asmodeous which the next Quest one of the requirements is to have Will at Level 60, i want to have the rest of my party at Level 60 however Sin's Gate is too tough for them at the moment, I am currently on Chapter 2 so i am wondering if there are any good dungeons which i can build up Level 40 characters apart from
to jump back to the start of the scene any more. If I'm going to bother wandering around in this scene, it will be on another play-through - but I don't want to bother with it if there's no real reason... point in doing anything with this time other than just completing the basic mission? Otherwise, it seems like the scene may as well have been done as just a non-interactive cut-scene. I understand... mean certain doom for Joker and/or the Normandy. Besides this, players who have been paying attention won't want to over-exert him anyway due to his bone condition. So, during my first (and so far

It's also awkward setting up...I'm the kind of player who doesn't mind grinding sessions to get levels to prepare me for moving forward in games... as long as the game makes that easier to accomplish and doesn't make it a chore. This game makes grinding very easy to do with the ability to increase encounter rate, auto-attacks and braving which I love. I'm already at level ~39 and just reached the beginning of chapter 2
If I'm playing Brave New World multiplayer as part of a team it appears that, unlike science, our culture and tourism are not combined. That means the best way for the team to win a culture victory is to give all the great artists to one player, let that player build all tourism benefiting wonders and basically concentrate entirely on that player's civ, which seems like it might not be much fun for the other player(s). I'm a bit fussy about my character's appearance, and always want to look my best when slaying hordes of demons. I read that there are two collector-edition dyes I do not have (Beige and Dark Grey), which have unlimited uses. Is it possible to purchase/trade these dyes from another player? Or am I stuck with finding someone who has these dyes, and getting them to dye my gear for me if I want these colors? (If you have CE dyes, it might be an interesting source of income for you if you can get people to trust you enough to give them their items) :)
No massive spoilers, but to be safe....: I've been playing the excellent Dragonborn expansion and have just done "the quest" where I am supposedly allowed to use Stalhrim, or have been granted permission to use the forge in Skaal village to make stuff with it - however I don't know what I am supposed to do - there is no option at the blacksmith at either the forge, or with the guy who runs it, but I am carrying 5x of what looks more stalhrim ore. My assumption is that I either need to do something to turn the ore into ingots (Smelter doesn't give me any options, so I feel this is less
