I was having a mouse lag issue in Dead Space, and I followed the useful instructions here which completely solved that problem.
It introduced another problem, however, which is that the mouse sensitivity is very, very low even when the sensitivity bar in the options is turned all the way up. Luckily I have an expensive gaming mouse and I can increase the sensitivity on the mouse to make it playable, but it's still too low even after doing that. When I right click to aim, sweeping the mouse over a foot turns the view about 30 degrees.
It's more playable than it was with the mouse lag, but this is a problem too. Is there any way to remove mouse lag but still have reasonably high sensitivity?
One way to cope, which isn't an amazing solution but definitely makes the game at least playable again, is to boost the crap out of the sensitivity using an out-of-game initialization file.
In order to do that, navigate to:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\Dead Space
Modify the settings.txt file and set the sensitivity higher. I set it to 4 (the in-game maximum is 1) and that seems pretty decent.
There are some drawbacks to this, however. Aiming and turning in-game are much improved by this, but controlling the mouse out of combat becomes impossible because the mouse rockets to the other side of the screen with just the slightest of touches. Get used to navigating menus with the keyboard if you want to use this method. Even navigating the map becomes a challenge because apparently mouse sensitivity is linked to map turn speed with the arrow keys.
The game's PC controls are flawed at best, but this at least makes it playable.
Here is a solution, another mouse driver.
You can set mouse movement as fast as neccecary.
drops to nothing and sound breaks up. Is there a specific mod that could be causing the lag? If not, how can I make the game playable? (By the way, I always change the process priority to high...When I play voltz, I get huge CPU usage - the process javaw.exe uses up to and including 90 CPU in the lag spikes. I only recently started playing voltz, after having played tekkit an awful lot. Tekkit used to lag too, but it doesn't after turning off MATMoS. I have turned down all the video settings: render distance is short (I can't bear playing on tiny), graphics are fast, performance is max
It seems like in pretty much every game (examples are Skyrim, Deus Ex HR, Borderlands 2, CoD: Black Ops, PlanetSide 2, Far Cry 3), I have to reduce the mouse sensitivity slider to zero or almost zero, and rarely, even that's still too sensitive. I use a logitech G700 mouse, on the medium ( 3 out of 5) hardware sensitivity setting. This setting works fine in windows (and games where I'm just moving a cursor around, like Civilization V). I could make a point to always lower the hardware sensitivity when I start a game, but I feel like that's a hack and there should be a better solution. I
How can i increase mouse sensitivity in Skyrim? on the main menu the mouse cursor is sluggish in-game mouse sensitivity is too low Things i've tried: increasing Look Sensitivity in-game...?, which looks to make the poor mouse sensitivity equal in both directions. i want not poor mouse sensitivity. Note: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Skyrim\SkyrimPrefs.ini" Note... question with explanation, justification, or research. Also people love screenshots - it draws them in like moths. See also FoV and sensitivity. How do I even out the mouse sensitivity? Tweaks to make
My problem is: I'm trying to make a macro where i can hold down a button on my mouse and it starts to click 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 , until i let go of the mouse button. This is to play dead in Call Of Duty. I have already tried: So far i am only able to make macros which activate on button press, but they wont keep going when i hold the button. Is this possible to achieve? Or do i need another program.
I was wondering if anyone knew a way that allows me to change mouse settings per mouse (device) and per game (or program). I recently brought a new curse input device (trackball :P) but still like to swap to the old mouse every now and then. But they have different sensitivities. So one mouse needs to be a certain sensitivity and the other, a different one. However, with games it becomes more complicated as they scale differently. I don't want to change in-game sensitivity as that will compromise the settings for the other mice.
I'm trying to lower the mouse sensitivity in Fallout 3 to an acceptable level. I have done the following changes to my fallout.ini file: ForegroundMouseAccelBase=0 fForegroundMouseAccelTop=0 fForegroundMouseBase=0 fForegroundMouseMult=0 The only thing I can find that regards the sensitivity is fMouseSensitivity, found in falloutprefs.ini. Changing this seems to make no difference to the menu sensitivity. Anyone know what I need to change?
I have adjusted the in game vehicle sensitivity options so that when controlling a tank the turret moves at a good speed. However, driving a Jeep my look sensitivity is too fast. Is there a way without using buttons on the mouse to configure the vehicle sensitivity to work for both tanks and Jeeps? If I use the buttons on my mouse, as soon as I exit the vehicle, it affects my foot soldier look sensitivity and I get killed. Is there external software that would help? I have a Logitech G9 and I have the setpoint software installed.
650M graphics card inside, it runs great. But I recently replaced my Windows 8 consumer preview with the retail copy, and since then, 3D games lag in this odd way, no matter what the graphics settings. Every second Skyrim and Crysis alternates between running smoothly and lagging. It's a cyclical lag that comes and goes like clockwork. I can turn the graphics down to 800x600 with no antialiasing... the operating system, reinstalling the bootcamp support software, and freeing up space (I have about 20 GB free). I can't figure out what suddenly caused this other than some obscure difference between
I just started X3: Albion Prelude and the mouse cursor is just far too slow. I have to move the mouse across almost the complete mouse pad to get from one end of the screen to the other side. My Windows mouse acceleration setting is already almost at the maximum, and I found no setting inside X3 that I could adjust. Is there any way I can make the mouse faster inside X3?
