Is it possible to order a carrier to move over enemy units, while attacking them, but without stopping to attack ? This is useful if you want to make sure you carrier moves to safety or to the enemy's mineral line, but don't want to use the move command because, well, the interceptors seem to be able to attack while the carrier is attack-moving.
When a carrier is idle or attack-moving, it will launch its interceptors against any hostile targets it sees in attack range (range 8). If it's attack-moving, it will also stop in place until out of combat.
If you issue a move order to a carrier that is currently attacking a target, it will continue to attack that target until it dies or moves out of interceptor range (range 14), but will not switch to new ones. (This behavior is inconsistent. If the carrier's target dies while the carrier is moving, occasionally two or three interceptors will not return and switch to other targets. I haven't been able to figure out the exact conditions triggering this.)

When I am trying to run away with my carriers, I will often quickly alternate between attack-move and regular move. This gets them out of the way while still ensuring that they engage as they run. It IS slower than simply moving them, but it accomplishes the objective of getting them to attack as they move.
: Left button Can be used to move. Attacks an enemy if you click on him. Attacks an enemy if you click on him, keep the button pressed and move the cursor elsewhere. Does not attack an enemy if you click to move, keep the button pressed and mouseover an enemy. Does not attack an enemy if you click an enemy, kill it, keep the button pressed and mouseover another enemy. Right button Can be used to move. Attacks an enemy if you click on him. Attacks an enemy if you clock on him, keep the button pressed and move the cursor elsewhere. Does attack an enemy if you click to move, keep
This has been really frustrating for me: My units don't actually move when I release the right mouse button, but when I end the turn. (If I tell a unit to automate its movement, it moves during my turn.) How do I get them to actually move when I tell them to? This makes attacking enemy units incredibly difficult because my units just move onto the tiles as they move away!
We have smart moving installed on my server. It has a feature that if you press 'O' or 'I' you move speed can be increased by a percentage. I've tested this and I've moved across the map at 3000%+ the normal speed of moving. Because we feel this is a way to cheat, I've decided that I want to turn this off on our server. I've looked all over the smart moving config file for my server. I see two... # ===================================================================== # Generic sprinting # ----------------- # Below you find the options for Smart Moving's generic sprinting # available for many different smart movings plus standard
The first Torchlight had an annoying combat issue that required constant clicking/holding on the enemy you wanted to target. After the enemy was dead, you had to click/hold on a new target. Torchlight 2 seems to have improved on this a bit. Click/hold on an enemy to attack and kill it just the same. However, while you are holding, you can hover the cursor over a new enemy. When the enemy you are attacking is dead, you will immediately attack the second enemy provided you were able to keep the cursor directly over it. That's not good enough, though, as I still find myself losing my cursor
In Spore, sometimes when I'm in the space stage, I will get something like this: As you can see, the "system under attack" symbol with the big downward-pointing arrow appears over each system, but it's only supposed to appear when that system is actually under attack! It's just that sometimes it doesn't disappear, and nothing seems to get rid of it; I've tried losing the system to an enemy, re-capturing it, destroying all my cities in the system, saving the game and loading... nothing gets rid of those symbols! It often seems to be triggered when you're attacking an enemy system with 2
I can't seem to be able to refuel the Cybran unit carrier, the dragonfly. It doesn't have the "dock to refuel and repair" order in its menu, like other air units do; directing it to an airfield, cruiser or aircraft carrier causes them to pointlessly circle around.
I know that when I press A my champ does the attack move. If I press R or alt+click, I only move my ghost where my mouse is pointing. But in teamfights, when I want my ghost to attack an enemy, there are sometimes when I misclick the enemy, and the ghost only walks near that champ. Instead... Is there a way to attack move your ghost?
Let's say I have two socketables, each with this effect: Conveys 1000 physical damage over 5 seconds If I put both of these on one weapon, do I get 2000 physical damage over 5 seconds (stacked) or are all other damage conveyance effects ignored in excess of one? I know that the effect icon appears by the enemy's health bar so you know the effect is in effect, but that only shows when you hover over the enemy and the icon is located up at the top of the screen. To get to it, you have to move your mouse off the enemy, so it ends up disappearing before you get mouse over it.
In theory the void ray can move while attacking. Is it possible to attack a stationary (non moving target) while moving your void ray? Or does the void ray have to be attacking a moving target?
