I am having extreme frame drop issues when recording Minecraft with Fraps. I can record any other game just fine at 60fps and 1080p. Minecraft will normally run at 120+ fps, but when I record, it drops down to ~25. It doesn't matter if I change the recording resolution or what, I keep getting horrible FPS when recording Minecraft.
Here are my PC specs:
As you can see, my PC is no crappy computer, this is why I'm so frustrated with my Fraps issues. Please Help!
Yes I do have optifine.
So after defragging my disc, I was able to get Fraps up to 40 FPS. I feel like I should be able to get up to 60 though...
The default frame rare that Fraps used to record at is 25, look at your setting and increase that to 40. The problem I suspect is Fraps is max capping your fps. If you increase this the problem will go away.
Fraps does this to save space on the recorded video.
This is a link to the page that shows how to change those settings ensure that your frame rate is not capped at 25 or a lower setting.
In Q.U.B.E (steam game), I can make it all the way up to the first few laser puzzles with no issues, but then my FPS will suddenly drop to 10-20. My PC specs are as follows: AMD Phenom II 3.4Ghz Quad Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 8GB G.Skill DDR3 1TB Seagate Barracuda I will normally get 60+ FPS up until said point. This is a major issue for me as I am trying to record a let's play of the game, and I cannot progress if my FPS is so horrible! Note: The FPS is horrible even if I'm not recording.
Possible Duplicate: How can I record demos of my gameplay? I have looked at a few choices: I liked Fraps, but it's $37 for the full version. dxtory was good but the video quality wasn't clear. I wasn't able to use virtualdub because i did not have the hardware to go with it. Camstudio is only for windows xp. My question is, is there a free screen recorder that has no limit on how long a video is that can also record audio and have a clear video quality? The quality doesn't have to be HD, but not horrible either.
How should I record high-quality video game footage off consoles? I am interested in PC and mobile platform recording too. And Secondarily, how can I edit the footage professionally for YouTube trailers and gameplay videos? P.S. for amateur level recording, please see How can I record demos of my gameplay?. Why: This is primarily for professional trailers and footage from our indie game studio..., but not equally whenever there is not information to fill it, which is what happens when the hard drive is too slow for a moment and skips recording the frame. You can see this effect at the end of this video
seconds, one frame. Eight seconds, one frame. This got so bad, it took a while just to exit the game! Is there any way I can play Minecraft fast ever again? Is it my graphics? CPU? RAM? Please help...When I had my old laptop, I could run Minecraft quite fine, even with the Amazing Shaders mod. When I got my brand new laptop, I could already imagine the possibilities. 2000+ fps. No lag. I was going to be invincible with my NVIDIA GeForce 630 M. Or so I thought. When I opened Minecraft and made a "Test" world in Creative, I was very happy to see how fast things were running until I saw
I recently installed rage on my PC, expecting to run smoothly after i played it on a less powerful pc having a decent FPS, BUT! Here comes the plot twist, because after I start a new game, (the pre-rendered cinematics running okay ofcourse) and get in the actual game, I literally get 0FPS, the game 'updates' every 2-3 seconds so it takes like 2 minutes open start menu etc. My PC is more than enough for this game, so what can be the problem? Am I missing something? 0FPS PC SPECS: Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition @3,9Ghz RAM: 8GB Kingston 1333MHz Videocard: MSI HD6790
choppy) making DirectX9 calls to Wine. However, since HoTS I'm stuck running at 0 fps when I try to play a mission (it's more like 1 frame per minute). I was able to get World of Warcraft to run smoothly... "OpenGL"). Does this ability exist in Starcraft 2? I found the configuration file (.../My Documents/Starcraft II/variables.txt) but I don't see a line I can modify to tell it to use OpenGL. I know that running the game on Mac requires you to use OpenGl and not DirectX, however, can I use the OpenGL library instead of DirectX9 on Windows? I don't know if the technical details of my problem
Something similar is happening to me. When I open the game (or any game on my PC) it will go to a high FPS (like 60+) but then i can watch the frame rate tick down slowly until it hovers around 10-13 FPS. It does this to EVERY game. but it isn't that my computer can't handle it (Borderlands 2 suggests all settings on high). It also makes no difference what the video settings are for Borderlands 2. One more thing, when I alt-tab out and then back in the frame rate goes up to 25-30 and then starts to fall back to crap. This is driving me MAD! Can anyone please help me? System Total amount
games, generally yielding nothing. There (so far) never occur any issues with my mouse, in windowed mode. Currently, I use an Nvidea GeForce MSI N580GTX Lightning, with Forceware 320.49 I can run ANY other game (i.e. Bioshock Infinite and Metro Last Light) on high+ graphics (smoothly) (so far) Up until the driver update, none of the 3 games had any real issues Apparently I may have had such issues earlier with skyrim, and somehow managed to fix it, evident from backup files of a mod, that would help with this issue (if only I could remember) Skyrim currently is patched to 220.127.116.11.8 [Edit] I
On Skyrim for PC, whenever a yes/no dialog pops up ("Are you sure you want to exit alchemy?"), or a dialog with just 'ok'("You learned the _ enchantment"), I can't do anything. I can't right click or left click on the yes or no or anything else on the screen. EDIT: It appears I can press 'y' for yes and 'n' for no, but nothing seems to work for 'OK' dialogs. I get "stuck", and there is nothing I can do. The sound still works and the hover effects for buttons still works, so the game hasn't crashed, but the game becomes unplayable. What should I do? I use a mouse. I don't have any mods
