When playing Civ 3 (The "complete" edition on Steam), I often find that the Strategic Resources don't appear nearly frequently enough for my liking. In an area that could fit 10 or 11 cities without any overlap, there was a single patch of Iron. When you add in that a resource can be depleted, this makes the ability to play out the map fairly unpredictable (since you can't see resources for techs you don't have).
Is there some way to edit the map generator's strategic resource frequency? Or a mod or patch or something that does this? I'd like them to appear more often without having to use a custom map to do it.
I downloaded a Pokémon castle map in Garry's mod, but, when I went to "START A NEW GAME" the map was not there. I have other maps which don't work either. How do I get the maps to appear when I start a game?
When out on the map screen if you mouse over hexes, or in the strategic view you can see icons if a hex contains a resource. Wheat and Bananas show up when you do this, yet they are not luxury/strategic resources. So why do they show up?
In Sid Meier's Pirates! there are several mods available to the public. However when you put the mod into the game folder everything shuts down when you open up the Pirate-o-Pedia. Is there anyway to edit the book so that I can still look things up without having to close out of the entire game?
I ask this because I'm playing the New Vegas Trade Center mod and I'd like to put my bottle caps in the bank there. Unfortunately, bottle caps don't appear in my inventory; they only appear in the bottle cap counter at the top right of my pipboy. I notice that Alchestbreach (an online reviewer) doesn't have this problem. Could this be because of some patch? EDIT: Yeah, it's not here at all. Here I'm trying to transfer them to ED-E. Over here, I'm trading with Chet (ridiculous amount of caps courtesy of not having a life)
I see a view on the web where in Civilization 5 you can see the resources on the map by default. How do I enable that? For example, in my view, I just see the map and don't see the resources at all. Here is a site with that view. http://www.nohighscores.com/2011/08/30/civilization-5-game-diary-ode-to-oda-nobunaga-part-5-turns-401-466/
There is a nice strategic map popping up when hitting NUM0 that displays all available units of your own as well as points of strategic relevance and discovered enemy troops. This is already nice from a tactical point of view, but I heard it is also possible to use this map to gain an advantage by making macro easier. How?
for Mallus Maccius? EDIT Neither is Niranye in Windhelm, who should be a fence once you complete the Thieves Guild quest line as well. At this point I think it is one and only one mod that I have active. When I started this play through with the latest patch (no longer latest since 1.4.27 I think) I had never used a mod. Only subscribed to one on Steam "Dovahkiin Hideout" for the big house, more...I began a new character with patch 18.104.22.168 I completed the Thieves Guild story line, where Mallus Maccius pledges to me to be a fence for my services. I moved on and became the Guild Master. Now
When you first research a technology that reveals a new resource on the map (eg. Electricity reveals Aluminum), you can click the tip that comes up to center the map on deposits of that resource that are near your cities. Is there a way to easily find those Strategic Resources again on later turns? So far I haven't found any method other than hovering my mouse over all of the tiles near where I thought it was to try to locate it.
profiles for Forge 1.6.4 and Forge 1.7.2 But when the game loads only the 3 default mods appear in the Mod List: a) Minecraft Coder Pack b) Forge Mod Loader c) Minecraft Forge. No child mods. None of my downloaded mods appear!! I have read forums, watched videos, tried everything I can think of. If you know how to do this on a Mac, I would really appreciate your help. Thanks. I have also tried all the steps listed on the duplicate link below. But this hasn't worked either. I am new here and don't have a 50 reputation to be able to comment on this thread. Also the question was asked two
