I have a lot of savegames and I'd like to clean them up. Ingame you can only delete them one by one. There is a folder "Saves" in the steamapps folder (I have the steam game) but there are no files in there. Am I looking at the wrong location?
I am currently even facing problems. Not all savegames are offered in the menu - probably because I have so many.
On windows 7, they are in
Documents\My Games\XCOM - Enemy Unknown\XComGame\SaveData
Note that this applies to the steam install. According to helpful comments, it's the location is the same for the retail version (and retail purchases apparently just provide steam keys).
On MacOS, the Steam edition saves its games to
~/Library/Application Support/Feral Interactive/XCOM Enemy Unknown/SaveData/. I suspect the non-Steam version is the same (aka Elite Edition, Mac AppStore). Details from this blog post. The Steam edition also has Steam Cloud synchronization, but I have not verified that it's working.
It's the 'users' folder, even if you've moved your normal documents - it still goes to the Windows default folder...
I can't find where RAGE is storing its savegames. It's not in AppData, and not in my documents, nor in the installation folder. Does anyone know where the save games are saved?
After a few crashes I ended up with multiple and duplicate savegames for my ironman run. Clicking the delete game button removes the savefile for all identical save, but not the list entry, and I have to restore a backup of that file in order to be able to play that savefile again at all. How to clean up this mess? Manually deleting the respective savefiles also seems to fail since apparently profile.bin contains some information on the savegames as well, or is Steam's cloud interfering?
and the last one I tried corrupted all my savegames. There was nothing I could do. I watched the ending from Youtube. I know there are people who finished in XP without a problem. I want to give it another try if it will work. I am done with that stupid thread. It's 6 years old they kept merging it with every useless solution possible. If somebody here solved it , please explain how you did... savegames. Thanks a lot Patching game to 1.2 after problem, didn't help too. I hope it doesn't get closed, actually I am so desperate I had to take my chance. I took a quick look at FAQ, nothing

This question is very similar but it's specific to the PC version: Use Fallout 3 savegames in Fallout 3 GOTY I have the original Fallout 3 disk for my PS3 and I'd like to get the GOTY version. Will my existing savegames be compatible with the new disk?
I recently encountered a crash in Battlefield 4 and decided to take a break. Out of curiosity, I browsed my PS4's storage to see what's stored inside, and noticed that only the Battlefield 4 savegame was described as corrupted. Upon launching the game anew, I had to acknowledge the loss of all of my progress thus far. In an unrelated case, I decided to subscribe to Playstation Plus. I know that my PS4 will automatically upload savegames to the cloud, as long as I am subsribed to PS Plus, but I was wondering if it also does so for corrupted savegames. Obviously, if it does I'll have to make
On PS3, some savegames are locked, meaning that you cannot backup them and move them to another console. They can only be transfered on a new PS3 system through the online PS+ program facility ($$) or by transferring data from the old system to the new one through provided system tool on the console. (Problem with latter case is that you have to have both consoles up and running at that time, which is not the case if you buy a new one cause the first one crashed, or if you sell the old one to be able to buy the new one). I then wanted to know if there is a somewhat official and up
I am looking for the turret voice overs from Portal in the following file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\portal content.gcf I've extracted this using GCFScape, but they don't seem to be in the sound folder with all the other sound files.. I don't want to download them from YouTube as I will have to split them into .wav files, and won't be as high quality. Where are they located?
these, and they take quite a lot of space* (20+ MB/save). Removing them from the game is nice because I get to see the thumbnail plus location plus save date, but it's a chore with many of them as you have to select and delete them one by one. So my question is: can I safely remove them from Windows Explorer, or will it raise issues later with the game (if there is for instance some sort of index)? Note: I'm not really worried about running out of HDD space, but I have an automatic backup running over the enclosing folder (the whole path is C:\Users*USERNAME*\Documents\The Witcher\saves
