The latest update to Minecraft: XBox 360 Edition added, among other things, Strongholds. In Minecraft for PC, only 3 strongholds appear per world (see the Stronghold wiki article). But XBox maps are limited and thus much much smaller than your average PC world.
Therefore, has it been revealed how many Strongholds will be spawned in an XBox world?
There is only one in a 500 block diameter of your spawn point.
. I've also tried flying to a totally different part of the world, to see if the eye of ender takes us to a different stronghold, but no luck. It's my understanding from the Wiki that there should be 3 strongholds, all roughly equally spaced around the center, roughly 1km from (0,0,0) but no matter where I go, the eyes of ender always take me back to this non-existent stronghold. Is there any app...It appears that the stronghold locations have moved. I had found a strong hold at one point in a creative world that my little kids like to play in. I found it in 1.0 or 1.1. I didn't write down
Possible Duplicate: How can I find my World's Strongholds? Is there any reliable tool for determining the locations of Fortresses and Nether fortresses in Minecraft? We migrated our server to the latest version of Bukkit. Since we have quite a bit of the map already revealed, I'm not sure whether we still have a chance of finding a fortress in the overworld. So instead of running... such a pressing issue, since there are supposed to be many of them.)
interested in is the numbers: What is the maximum number of creepers that can spawn on an Xbox Minecraft map simultaneously? Is there a separate cap on total number of mobs that's independent of the cap... (e.g., zombies)? Some additional background. I've taken a look at the wiki, which provides very detailed information on this for the PC version of the game, but I have no way of knowing if that information is the same on the Xbox version. There's reason to believe it's different since we're working with a fixed size world. Also, I've looked at this question, which is very similar, but when you
Now that Minecraft 1.2 has been released, I'm wondering how much of the new stuff added will ever appear in the world that I started playing in 1.1. Specifically, a new Jungle biome has been added, and the wiki page says this: Jungles will only generate in chunks generated after 1.2.1. I'm not sure how to interpret this. If I walk far enough in my world I started in 1.1 to a chunk I've never visited before, does it have a chance of being a Jungle biome? I guess what I'm generally asking is if the biome of a chunk is determined when the world is generated, or when the chunk is first
Supposedly strongholds only spawn between 640 and 1152 blocks from the origin and there are only three per world. On the SMP server I play on, all that land has been explored for a very long time, so it obviously won't be regenerated unless somehow deleted. Does this mean that the strongholds will never spawn? Can they be generated in new chunks that are further out if they don't exist yet?
Possible Duplicate: Minecraft 1.4.6 Force Update Problem In Minecraft 1.4.6 I wanted to download a mod so I did force update. I checked back in the file but the other normal files weren't there. I downloaded the mod anyways (Too Many Items) But it didn't work. How do I fix this?
In Minecraft beta, normal strongholds only spawned within a certain distance of 0,0, so they would never appear in a world which was explored beyond that radius. In Minecraft 1.0, do nether strongholds have a limit like this, or will they appear at any distance? Can you keep exploring and find unlimited nether strongholds?
I'm still a newbie with Minecraft and I have the Xbox 360 version, if that matters. Anyway, I've been wondering if there's a level range in which strongholds can be found. I know that they don't (or it's really rare?) spawn at the ground-level and that sometimes they're found near/in mineshafts, but...that's all I know. (Aside from all of this, I'm still trying to get more Ender Pearls to craft Eyes of Ender so I can locate the portal/stronghold in one of my worlds, and this question just came up out of curiosity.)
Minecraft 1.8.2 is coming out in a few days and they said there will be NPC villages, strongholds etc. I built a massive city on the Xbox and I really want it to have villages, strongholds and all the new features. Is there any way I can keep my world and play creative mode and have villages and strongholds in the same world?
