Recently I started to play Eve Online with in mind the world of exploration and scanning.
I plan to play as a lonestar most of the time (I'm in a corp anyway) since I tend to log at strange hours usually.
My char already is training some required skills (aiming for the basic Cartographer certificate right now) and all I did till now was read this guide and complete all the Agent Career Missions related to explorations.
The question is just this: what should I do now? I saw a lot of websites around, but they all talk about lowsec or nullsec zones. I'm planning to stay in highsec for a while, till I get acquainted with this career and all that is involved. Where should i look for sites to explore? I don't mind some fighting from time to time, but if I could find some "relaxed" exploration sites (go-scan-explore-grab_an_item-get back/report to someone) to improve my economy and have some fun exploring space, that would be what I'm looking for! Any help? Is this possible, or all exploration sites lend to a brutal fight with pirates, requiring me a backup fleet?
The lower the security level, the better loot you'll find. While you can scan best with a dedicated scanning ship, I tend to explore with an Omen Navy Issue, fitted with turrets and a scan probe launcher, allowing me to scan down a site, dock, switch the probe launcher for the right tool for the job, then easily complete the site. The standard sites usually don't have enemies, but the best (and most fun) are the deadspace complexes, which are about like low level normal missions. If you want to only do non-combat scanning, just avoid any sites which show as (I think) Unusual instead of the standard scan types.
Buy an exploration frigate (Heron, Probe, Magnate and Imicus) and start scanning down sites in high-sec. While they aren't very good at combat, Relic and Data sites no longer have any enemy NPCs in them, so you don't need any combat capabilites. And in the very beginning, the bonus to scanning should be very helpful when your scanning skills are still low and you don't have much experience with scanning. Later on you should be able to scan high-sec sites in a ship without a scanning bonus.
You probably can't run any DED complexes in an exploration frigate, but you should be able to run the Data and Relic sites easily.
I would recommend to learn scanning with an exploration frigate, and if you find a site that is too difficult you can reship to a combat ship. Once you are comfortable scanning and want to continue it, you probably want to change to either a combat ship, a Sisters of Eve ship like the Stratios or a T3 cruiser. But for the beginning you should just try it out and scan some sites, and don't be too disappointed if you only find wormholes in the beginning (don't go through them).
to anyone else? To get the achievement for completing all challenges does the game remember the challenges I already had complete in my first story? In my career record on some missions while looking...Okay so I'm sure most people know by now not to start a new story in the black ops 2 campaign because it will reset all of your career record challenges, guns, camo, etc. Well I did because I was bored and wanted to play it again so all of my challenges reset and now I've ran into a problem. Mission #6 - Karma - The very first challenge (most people hated this one) "obtain retina scan
those. I've already asked: Is it possible to play Skyrim without bugs?. The comments left by Batophobia were useful and I hope I can explain myself better this time. According to my own experience, those problems could've been avoided if I'd have known the right order. (Instead of killing everyone in a cave, first I should talk to X or read Y, for instance) So, what I'd like to know is the right order of missions. What I've tried is to finish a quest as soon as I get it, but not always work: when I'm in the middle of a quest and I get another, and if I start the second when I finish the first
I'm thinking about returning to EVE, but i don't know if there is a career for me - last time i did a few courier contracts in lowsec with my Cheetah and some exploration missions - i don't find shooting at ships or asteroids that much fun. I wonder if being a one-character freelance spy would be a possible career in EVE (I don't mind losing a ship from time to time or not making a profit... i always jump out before they can attack me or what are their options - how much time do i have in average? Besides safe spots, what other tricks should i learn to increase my survivability? What
I'm creating my own mod pack (just adding mods I like to one big mod pack to play with friends) and now I have the following mods added: mod list. The problem is, after adding RailCraft mod, when I... or load early created worlds client just stops responding. When I connect to my server I get player connected, then, after some amount of time, SocketTimeoutException and player disconnected. The main..., ThermalExpansion, NEI and, of course, RailCraft - everything worked fine: singleplayer loaded, world generated, all mods worked just great. So, I suggest, there is some conflict with one of the other mods
THE ISSUE First, understand the background --> here I am Australian D3 player I didn't check region and started playing (it turns out it defaulted to European servers) Now I'm level 50 I tried... this it seems clear I should be playing in Americas all along-just I never knew that this was an option or that it was chosen for me...) SOLUTION? Does it (it, the fact I started on Eurpoean server and just... between characters. Will this cover me, should I want to sell an item in RMAH? i.e. switch it to player in my region, sell from there ? NO MORE IDEAS: Do I have any options available
So in my current embark I havent found any Iron yet, and im guessing I wont find any. So I traded all of my gems for some Pig Iron bars (since I have Flux Stone) and Steel/Iron Armor. I had the items equipped to my military after trading and not long after noticed that the items were missing along with everything I traded. What is happening and how do I prevent it from happening in the future? This seems to happen everytime I trade and havent really had solid proof till now.
-Luc seems to be bulletproof and swordproof. What's a good strategy to take care of these bosses? When playing as Inugami, I have not been able to take advantage of my Darkness power, Swarm...I am playing the Vendettas campaign offline as Inugami. I am currently in the Old East Docks location, and I now have to fight the level bosses, Amelie Dubois and Jean-Luc Lambert, face-to-face. I am playing in Hitman difficulty, which is the default difficulty. I have tried several times but I always get killed in the part where I have to battle them face-to-face. (I have been able to beat them
yesterday, all buildings (and units in battles) are invisible. I'm using MacOS. I've had the game running for an hour or two and not one building has appeared. My outpost looks like a barren wasteland (albeit with some floating produce icons--the only way I can find my farms now!). Edit: five days later, there's no solution in sight. Z2 support said this is a known issue on iOS but not Mac OS X, and suggested reinstalling the game "several times." It still doesn't work, and I haven't the slightest idea why. Oh, and what's my question? Has anyone else seen this problem or similar
Here's the game in question: Alien Logic (@ Moby Games) My question is this: Does anybody know if the patch is still available, and if so, where it can be found? I am looking for the 1.02 patch, which I assume is the latest (and last) official version of the game. I am working off of the original disc and not a downloaded and compiled zip (as available on some abandonware sites). The version on the disc installs as v1.00 The FAQ on Gamefaqs suggests to get if from the Broderbund support page but the page doesn't seem to be there anymore. The posting date of the FAQ in question is 2007, so
