Mass Effect 3 has, depending on certain conditions, up to three possible endings.
The end-game options are clearly laid out for Shepard, and each scenario is apparently represented by a different path Shepard can walk down. It is made very clear that how the ending plays out is up to Shepard to decide in this moment. So it only stands to reason that Shepard should be explicitly told, or given a clear visual indicator to, which path would lead to which ending.
However, when I reached the final decision point, I did not see anything that clearly indicated which actions would lead towards which ending. Certainly, I could have gone online and looked up a walkthrough to help me figure things out. However, I really feel that the game should have done a better job of leading me towards where I wanted to go.
In the end, I went with what my gut was telling me might possibly achieve my desired result - though I still really worried that the action might have actually led to an ending other than the one I desired. Fortunately, this ended up being the right choice for me. So, in some regards, I suppose it can be said that the game did its job even though I don't really feel like it did.
Still, I'm left wondering if I might have missed something. Is there a clear in-game indicator of which actions will reflect each of Shepard's possible choices? I'm specifically not looking for a simple guide that says "if you do this, you'll get that ending". I want to know what, if anything, the game does to give such directions to the player.
Watch the cutscene again. Whenever the star child discusses an option, the camera highlights the appropriate path toward that option.
"I know you've thought about destroying us." - Camera indicates the red platform and demonstrates Shepard shooting it.
"Do you think you can control us?" - Camera indicates the blue platform and shows Shepard holding on to it.
"There is another solution: Synthesis - Camera shows the glowing green energy beam directly in front of you.
In Mass Effect 2, you are given control of Joker for a brief period. However, this time is very focused towards achieving certain tasks. It's strongly implied that to stray from those tasks would... only) play-through of this scene I stuck to the objectives. I did keep my eyes open for anything that might look "interesting", but didn't see any. Is there ever any variation in this scene, or any..., but would like to know ahead of time whether or not there will be any point to it. This is primarily because I have horrible saving habits (or, rather, a lack thereof) and so I do not have an easy way
I know I'm caught up in a trivial detail, but everything else in Riven: The Sequel to Myst is wrapped up so neatly. A lot of what's encountered is tangentially explained in characters' journals... is associated with a colour, and you can determine four of them through the nearby viewfinders. However the fifth is inaccessible until after you solve the puzzle (to the best of my knowledge) so you end up having to guess the final colour (granted, from only two choices). Maybe it's not a big deal, but you can solve every other puzzle in the game with zero guessing, so to me it sticks out like a sore thumb
the end to fix this would pass up being able to own a valuable promo, who is super powerful besides. Does anybody know how to fix this? I am very sorry if I didn't make myself clear, or if I didn't... screen, so I just replicated my actions to attempt to connect, and I could still see the error message), but that refused to connect also. Both 3DS can connect to the network and use the Internet browser...I can't seem to connect my pokemon x game to my network, even though I have tried using both my guest network and my secure network. Both of them are WPA secured (I believe, I can't check right now
quests as efficiently as possible. To do that, I want to level playing against the Expert AI to additionally unlock the hidden Quest which requires you to defeat all Expert AI opponents. I have lots of experience in TCGs, both similar ones (WoW, Magic) and others, but my card pool is still very small. Now I've found that I struggle a lot when playing against Mage with Paladin. This might just be personal impression or coincidence, but I feel Paladin's tricks available at this early stage just can't hold up to Expert AI Mage's. And I'm pretty sure this is similar in other cases. Honestly
- was only ever unlocked unless all 5 endings had been seen (needed a separate patch to add it though) however, from what i have seen, all 3 routes are separate games with separate .exe files, so i am...i know that the Realta Nua PC version was released as 3 games and there is now a patch for all 3 (i'm waiting abit before i get it just to allow the bugs to get ironed out) however one thing got to me, in the Original PC version you had to complete the Fate Route in order to trigger the flag at the end to allow for the possibility of accessing the Unlimited Blade Works Route (which doesn't lead
to save Jack so need to go back and do that, but don't want to to the whole game again, I just want to get the achievement. However, when the new DLC comes out with the extra bits on the end, I also don't want to have to redo the whole game just to see the extra ending. Too scared to try it in case I stuff everything up UPDATE: so I bit the bullet and started a new game with my original shep and all is fine. Still have the original, unchanged. I just now have 2 saves with the same name, but the date is different so that's how I can tell them apart. You can also change your appearance
I've just started playing Legend of Fae and I'm trying to figure out which path I want to take in regards to the Spell Lantern Upgrades. However, I have no idea how many parts total I'll end up getting in the game. I don't want to end up with a less effective build because I've split my upgrades across 2 or more paths or the like. There does seem to be a Reset ability, but it also says it will cost one of my total spare parts in order to use. I can hover over each locked item and it will tell me the cost, but I'm unsure if spare parts are something that I can end up grinding
question for recording off of PC's (with an HDMI output in my card, I think I can use the same solution as a console) and mobile platforms. Suggest anything that helps me have a better video recording...How should I record high-quality video game footage off consoles? I am interested in PC and mobile platform recording too. And Secondarily, how can I edit the footage professionally for YouTube trailers and gameplay videos? P.S. for amateur level recording, please see How can I record demos of my gameplay?. Why: This is primarily for professional trailers and footage from our indie game studio
Possible Duplicate: Is there a new game plus for Mass Effect 3? Sorry if this is a duplicate. I checked but I didn't see this answered. I'm planning to wait for the Mass Effect 3 extended cut DLC later this summer but would like some confirmation on a few things: Can I play through Mass Effect 3 again with my same character? If so, what exactly can I keep (as far as stats) on the second play-through? Thanks.
