As noted, Harvest Moon: A New Beginning keeps track of how many critters you've caught and even breaks them further down into types caught, like "Cicadas Caught", "Bees Caught", etc.
However, unlike Fish, Bugs cannot be cooked, and the only place you can put them is in Storage. I'm pretty obsessive about collecting things, and I tend to like to keep things around unless I otherwise cannot store them. However, unlike the Animal Crossing series, it seems there's no separate place to collect Bugs and you must keep them in your house's Storage.
Given that my Storage is currently limited to 100 spaces and I've already caught 18 types of bugs running around during my first Spring day, I'm a little worried about running out of space. I'm thinking about just releasing/dropping them when it becomes necessary, but I'm worried I'll find out I can use them for something other than random statistics later on.
Is there any reason to keep Bugs around, or am I safe to let them go/sell them?
Bugs tend to be your main money-maker at the beginning of the game. There are some people that really like bugs (Aaron, especially), but that's no reason to store them, as they're easy enough to catch.
The only thing I would suggest is to keep about a half-dozen bees; you will be finding a use for them later on, and it will speed up development of that section if you have them on hand already.
Thinking about making a system that will, after fully charging a Redstone Energy Cell, remove the block and place another empty one in it's place to eliminate any wasted energy from the running engines. I was thinking about using Block Breakers, but I'm worried it won't keep the energy stored if I use that.
During the summer, most plants wither and stop growing. It's also very dangerous to stay around in the base, because things keep smoldering up and you will probably not have enough ice in store to keep them cool. While roaming the world, I noticed that mushrooms still appear to be growing, so I can pick them up as crock pot ingredients. I just checked out the caves and it's still pretty hot in there, in addition to darkness for which I wasn't quite prepared and with all the grass bushes withered, I'm not sure how I can keep a stable supply of light sources. With so little food
these, and they take quite a lot of space* (20+ MB/save). Removing them from the game is nice because I get to see the thumbnail plus location plus save date, but it's a chore with many of them as you have to select and delete them one by one. So my question is: can I safely remove them from Windows Explorer, or will it raise issues later with the game (if there is for instance some sort of index)? However, using the hat-switch on the joystick, my FOV is fairly limited: I can see 90° left or right, or 90° up, but I cannot see behind (180°), and I cannot see in three-quarter sectors (left- and right-up forward and back, something like 45° both horizontal and vertical), nor can I see below in any direction except of forward a bit so I can see all of the instrument panel. I just got Dead Island working on my machine (a small miracle, considering how many bugs are in the game itself.) I played through the first part where you wake up, walk around, fall down the elevator, and get chased by zombies into the storage room place. I get hit by the zombie, the game cuts out. The next level (mentioned in the title) starts loading (it takes around 5 minutes.) Once it loads, all I can see is what looks like the sky and some black squares & rectangles above me (I'm guessing they're supposed to be buildings.) I know that I can only hold a maximum of 8 items in my mailbox in Pocket Frogs. Right now, I'm using it as kind of a pseudo-storage while I make more money to be able to afford to buy more habitats. The ingame Help section doesn't mention anything about there being a limit to how long you can keep items in your mailbox, but I want to make sure that there truly isn't such a limit. I have a few frogs that I have found and that have been sent to me that I'm leaving in my mailbox because I don't currently have room for them. Over at The Vault, we have this interesting tidbit under bugs for "Run Goodsprings Run:" Doing the above can grant the user extra free perks, before leaving the area of Good Springs. You can essentially level your self up to level 30, and get any perks after level 4 and keep them for the remainder of the game...OK, we've established prior that I'm not above using certain exploits (notably the caps exploit for weapon/armor shops) when I play. I own the Xbox 360 port of FUEL, and have never had any problems with it. However, someone else in my family owns the PS3 version of the game, and has had various issues with running the game. I find it odd that this version of the game would have these issues, considering it was originally developed for the PS3. Some of the more prominent issues: Audio/video cutting out. Crashing... to keep up with you, and things start to only be rendered a short distance in front of you. Are these known issues with the game on PS3? If so, is there anything we can do to combat them?
