Among all the discussion surrounding FTL, one thing I have not seen is a verdict on the wisdom/idiocy of upgrading to level 3 sensors.
For those of you who never have, doing so allows you to see the power distribution and damage status of the enemy systems in the same format by which you see your own. (individual upgrade bars, repair status, etc.)
I've gone to level 3 twice, both times I was spoiled with scrap. I found it mildly interesting but it did not influence my SOP in combat.
Where or when would level 3 sensors make sense, if ever?
Level 3 sensors have a non-combat benefit, since having them will present additional blue options in some encounters.
Another benefit of seeing their systems is that you can see the cooldown on their cloak (if they have it), which can help you make decisions when firing weapons or teleporting crew in.
One of the perks for Technician is the ability to turn trip mines into sensors that beep, instead of explode when tripped. Can guards see these, or hear when they are tripped? Specific applications in mind include a "someone is coming up to the roof" detector for Framing Frame day 3, so the camera operator doesn't have to periodically check if there's a guard on the roof.
Why is it that my Slug crewmembers count drones as lifeforms when showing the position of enemies using their telepathic abilities? Whenever I have no sensors or only one rank of sensors... to help players from a gameplay perspective, allowing them to see what the enemy has with Slugs instead of sensors? Is there some lore reason? How can I avoid this issue of beaming or setting fire to these mechanised-brain-owners, am I forced to upgrade sensors to level 2 even though the Slug ships seem to leave this out on purpose? In Tribes: Ascend, I constantly see other players "spot" enemies which displays a voiced message to the chat [Spotted] (type of enemy) spotted (area) and puts a marker on the actual enemy that was spotted (regardless if you or your base's sensors can see him). How do you "spot" enemies?
I've recently picked up Crysis on Steam and have noticed that the helicopters exhibit some very annoying behaviour. They seem to be able to spot you from miles away, regardless of whether you are hiding or cloaked (fair enough if they have IR sensors, but it's no fun if you can't hide), and while their shots do very little damage, they come in extremely rapid succession. Basically they are a pain and feel a little out of context with the rest of the game. Are there any mods that improve their behaviour? In the Delicious series of games, there is always a mouse that appears while you are playing in the level. If you manage to click on it, you get 100 extra dollars towards your daily total, and there is a trophy for finding the mouse in every level. Does the mouse pop up more than once in the course of a level? Or if I miss clicking on it once, do I have to do the level over in order to see it again?
Recently, I've noticed that my goblins have been panicking around a lot and interrupting their jobs. At first I thought it might be because they get really hungry or something, but I checked the Goblin Camp Wiki, and it said that it's because they saw an enemy. I can narrow down it down to the bottom right side of my camp, but I checked around, and I don't see any enemies on the map. Why's this happening? Pic included:

You can see the level in the menu. This level is from killing zombies. It unlocks in-game content. I'm asking about the "account" level (33 in the screenshot), not character level.
In Knights of Pen and Paper there are a number of status effects you can inflict on enemies, such as weakness, bleeding, setting them on fire, etc. Most of these have a handy icon displayed on the monster themselves, but these can be hard to see due to the (charming) pixelly graphics. This is especially true when there are more than 3-4 enemies on the screen. In addition to this, monsters can be hit by the same effect multiple times (e.g. Warrior's Strike and Cleric's Weakening) but I can't tell if they stack or not as the icon doesn't change. Is there a way to see the current status effects
