In minecraft forestry, using a beealyzer on a wild or bred bee allows me to see it's genes for things like lifespan, speed, fertility, etc. However, there is little documentation on what those genes mean, and the names are ambiguous.
What genes are possible to get for my bees, and what is the hierarchy of those traits?
e.g., Obviously bees with the lifespan trait "longer" won't die as quickly as "shorter", but will my bee with the "longer" gene live longer than the one with "long"? What about "enlongated"?
Species: determines products generated and base temperature/humidity levels (which are unchangeable), too many to list
Speed: Slowest, slower, slow, normal, fast, faster, fastest (requires Thaumic Bees to obtain)
Lifespan: Shortest, shortest, short, shortened, normal, elongated, long, longer, longest (requires ExtraBees to obtain)
Fertility: number of drone offspring that will be produced when the queen dies, between 1 and 4
Area: Area (XxYxZ) in which the bee will search for its flower and produce any effects, listed in the beealyzer, largest in vanilla forestry is 11x8x11 (ender bee), with Thaumic Bees 15x13x15
Flower: what block type the bee requires to be within its area in order to produce anything, self-explanatory with the caveat that the 'nether' flower is netherwart.
Temperature tolerance: Levels up/down from the bee's natural temperature range that the bee will still operate in, best is both 3 with Thaumic Bees, both 2 without
Temprature levels are: Icy, Cold, Normal, Warm, Hot, Hellish (the Nether)
Humidity tolerance: functions in the same way as temperature tolerance but for humidity, best is both 2 with Thaumic Bees, or both 1 with Extra Bees
Humidity levels are: Arid, Normal, Damp
Nocturnal: will function at night, yes/no
Flyer: will function when raining, yes/no
Cave dweller: will function without housing having line of sight to sky, yes/no
Effect: Too many to list, the negative ones are usually obvious, but be aware of the ender bee effect that causes lots of damage to the player. Wearing a full apiarist suit will negate all bee effects for the wearer.
Pollination: speed at which bees will cause different tree types to cross-pollinate and also generate additional flowers around hive, Slowest, Slower, Slow, Average, Fast, Faster, Fastest, Maximum (not currently available)
One of the final bee-related quests requires you to breed bees to produce certus combs. In order to get this bee, you need to have access to ender bees. How can I get ender bees in Agrarian Skies?
I got stung by bees in animal crossing new leaf and None of the people have offered medicine. I don't know how to upgrade nookling junction. If anyone has gotten medicine from the following please tell me: Walt, Bruce, Pietro, Alice, Derwin, Bluebear, Frobert, or Diana. Where am I supposed to get the medicine for my bee stings?
In order to get the White Bee's Honey, I need to brew a certain beer but all I have is this clue: I've heard tales of Germany's people who act like my bees. Post winter's leave they swarm to please newly awakened thirst for these.
I'm using feed the beast and am currently trying to efficiently use the bees added by forestry, extra bees and thaumic bees. I want to find all possible bee-breeds without looking them up, this however requires you to keep track of anything you breed/found, so you don't just randomly keep breeding in a circle between races. I don't want to spoil all the different bees by looking them up on a wiki. Is there some in game way of keeping track in what combinations I have tried? Can I find out what kind of bees where the ancestors of a specific bee I end up with? The display in the apiarist
I want to move my bee indexer. Is there a way of doing so easily? Is there anything easier than piping bees through tesseracts or an ender chest? The gravity gun can't pick it up.
Has anyone confirmed the spawn rate for golden bees? I found several threads at various forums, but they all boil down to "just buy one". I know I can buy them, and did in my file. However, my 6 year old son wants to catch one. He just caught his first shiny Pokemon, so he knows what patience means. I'd just like to be able to give him a number if possible. Regarding duplicate status: I don't believe this is a duplicate at all. I asked a specific question not covered by either the question or answer in the linked one. "It appears randomly" is not a spawn rate, and I thought
After jumping through a wormhole, I seem to be on a section of the map that is an island. I haven't been able to fully explore the entire map due to a series of Killer Bees' nests right where a land bridge would logically be located. Do islands exist in Don't Starve? I just want to know if it's worth taking on those Killer Bees.
In the 2012 version of SSX, what is the lifespan of a player-placed Geotag? Do the lifespans of the Geotag depend on their value/color (green, purple, gold, red)? The description indicates there is a maximum value of credits earned and there are badges related to placing certain numbers of Geotags that are abandoned, but I have yet to find where it says how long a Geotag lasts, nor have I been successful in placing any that have not been collected.
I stopped playing Borderlands 2 on-line after downloading and installing Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage; last I played my game version was still pre-'bee nerf' patch. I haven't played on-line since then as I cannot get internet on my PS3 in my dorm room. As I have the Borderlands 2 Season Pass, can I download and install (and play) Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt without first updating to the newest patch? I'm only interesting in the technical possibility, not whether or not I should install the 'bee-patch'.
