I bought a used copy of "Medal of Honor" for my PS3 the last days. As I opened the case there was a paper with a used online pass on it. Because I never owned a game which needed an online pass I started the multiplayer directly to check if I can play without buying a new one. After skipping the purchase of a new online pass (10€ btw) I could play online just like a normal game without such mechanics.
Due to this EA-article I assumed that the online pass is no longer needed, but I can't find much more information.
Do I still need an Online Pass to play multiplayer games online?
For new EA titles, Online Pass will no longer be needed or included. Additionally, we are in the process of eliminating Online Pass requirements from existing EA games. This process will take several weeks. For some games, the prompt to enter an Online Pass code will no longer appear; for others, you will still need to download and install an Online Pass, but they will be available free of charge from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace or PlayStation Store.
So my question is: Does Medal of Honor still need an online pass - the prompt to enter one is still there - and if so, what are the benefits of it? I could play without entering an online pass perfectly.
They changed it. Before you had to have an Online Pass to actually play online (there might be additional maps or classes playable with it, but I don't think so). As the pass should be free by now, just grab one to get rid of the prompt, in case it returns. Otherwise you could probably just ignore it.
: When I launched the copy I recently bought through Steam, I saw a "multiplayer" key code pop up, but it apparently has nothing to do with the online pass (and the game didn't prompt me to enter...It is well known that Kingdoms of Amalur is one of the many games that employ the online pass method of encouraging new purchases (and for making more off of used copies). Snooping around... the above is far from an explicit statement on the matter (all other mentions on the FAQ regarding the online pass are Xbox/PS3 centric). So, how does one unlock the online pass content on the PC
the game based on the detection. My problem is that you can't change the language from the UI of the game/installer. I used the live help from EA and the guy told me to uninstall, download the online installer and reinstall (what's the point of buying retail if I have to download 4+GB for the same game!?). I then opened a ticket and it got closed without any update from them (nice work EA...I bought the retail English version of Medal of Honor 2010 (everything on the box is only English). When I installed the game, the installation was in French and when I start MoH, everything
Possible Duplicate: Installing in games Origin already obtained via Steam Now that I've installed Origin, I have the option of registering some of my other EA games (Dead Space 1 & 2, etc) on it. These are games that I've bought and already activated on Steam. So what exactly happens if I re-register them on Origin? Do they get 'copied' across, so I can play them from either service? Do they get 'moved' across, so they are no longer accessible from Steam? If this is the case, are save games compatible? (I'm guessing they are...) What about Steam achievements? I hope
I am playing Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2012 on my PS3. However, I want to change the account to which the PS3 is linked. When I try to do this from Settings ---> Account Management ---> Account Management, I get a error. (You must be signed in to PlayStationNetwork and the EA servers in order to access the online features of this title.) Howvever, I AM connected to PSN and the EA servers. (Atleast, I think I am, cause I can see that I'm connected to PSN in the XMB menu and I can play multiplayer, which means that I must be connected to the EA servers. How do I change my account and can

I’m playing Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II (GameCube) with a friend in offline multiplayer mode (split screen). Unfortunately our area progress is not saved. So even when we finish Forest’s end boss, Cave is only available in this very same session. When we save the game and play again next time, we can’t start in Cave. This was the case in PSO’s online mode, too. At least one player had to finish Forest in single-player mode so that a online party could start in Cave immediately. So I assume this is the case in the offline multiplayer mode, too. I wonder: Is there any trick
I need some enlightenment here. I owned my PS3 like 2 years ago, but it was broken, I can't turn it on. So I bought a 2nd hand PS3 from a different person. My old PS3 has all the saved data and there is one downloaded game in it. I have searched on the Net on how to transfer saved games and all, but all requires the other PS3 to be still functional and mine doesn't work anymore. I heard placing the hard disk drive on the new PS3 won't work either since they are encrypted and if I want to use it, I have to format it? I need clarification here and I'd love to know if there are any other ways

I'm currently working my way through Borderlands 2, first play-through, level 25 (I know, I don't get a lot of time to play games in general, let alone a game where I need to complete an area to avoid going through it again) When I first fought 'Boom Bewm' (the twin midgets...: In Borderlands 1, I could revisit say Jakob's Cove after completing it and the enemies (and bosses) had re-scaled to my new level. I tried to play the game online and while I could see a list of games available for play, I was unable to connect to any of them. After selecting a game to join I would see a loading screen for a time, then be told to re-request loading, which would always fail. What is going on? Is there some point in the game I need to progress to as a single player before multiplayer options are available to me?
