Amalur can't see saves after Origin update

  • Amalur can't see saves after Origin update Daria

I was happily merrily playing Kingdoms of Amalur until a recent Origin update. This update reseted Amalur settings and saves. Strangly, I can see saves on my hard drive just fine:

    saves on the disk.

How do I make Amalur see these saves?

  • I have Origin and Battlefield 3 and prefer to launch BF3 via Steam. The game runs fine, but when I launch Origin occasionally gives a warning that Cloud Saves can only be used when launching via... before stating the game. However I've noticed that it seems to occasionally cause sync conflicts when starting the game. If I play Origin games via Steam, is it not uploading my Cloud Save files to Origin or what? I only have one PC, so conflicts aren't a huge problem, but do want my files backed up in the cloud. Origin is of course installed, so if necessary I can just launch BF3 through that.

  • I got BF3 Premium Edition through Amazon and started downloading through Origin, and now whenever I get to 95% it stops and says error code 262145:5 and just stops. It'll download maybe 100 kilobytes of the game. So I Contacted a chat agent in Origin, and I've tried everything. Ending Processes, Windows Update, Opening Ports, etc. etc. Nothing changed anything. Here is the incriminating line... that the awc.dll is interfering with the installation process in some way, purposely interfering with Origin to cause some lockup. The exact reason why this is I do not know. Also to note is the following

  • I seem to be having an issue with my local map in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. As you can see, it shows the proper icons, but it doesn't show the actual roads. This makes planning my route to my next quest objective (or even finding my way) extremely difficult. I did notice, however, that whenever I first entered an area (specifically a cave), I was met with this map: Well, wait a minute. What's this? Everything is shown. But, whenever I proceed further into said cave: Aww... Nuts. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ How can I fix this map? EDIT It seems to work just fine upon leaving an area

  • I am playing on Classic difficulty, and where I used to have three Autosaves for a mission, I now only have one (i.e. the same file is rewritten each turn, so I can't go back a turn). Did this setting get changed after a game update, or might this be a bug? I did some googling, but didn't find anything. (I have read about an issue where once you reach 100 saves, your saves are listed out of order, but this isn't the case, because the one autosave is at the top.) EDIT: To clarify, I am not playing Ironman. The game autosaves at the beginning of each turn, and I can go back and reload

  • It is well known that Kingdoms of Amalur is one of the many games that employ the online pass method of encouraging new purchases (and for making more off of used copies). Snooping around the internet before purchasing the game, I noticed that on the Xbox (I imagine the same holds for the PS3) the code needs to be redeemed via the Marketplace as can be seen in the following instruction leaflet: When I launched the copy I recently bought through Steam, I saw a "multiplayer" key code pop up, but it apparently has nothing to do with the online pass (and the game didn't prompt me to enter

  • As the question stated, just how can I backup my game saves? I play lots of games; some of them, like Skyrim, are using the following directory in Vista/7: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Mygames\ However, where can I locate the rest of the games? I don't mean all of them, just the most common locations of game saves that most games use in Windows XP and Windows Vista/7 so I can back them up. Edit: What I mean is the locations that games most commonly use, not just one location. For example, I have Skyrim, Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning, Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City, Binary Domain, Rage

  • I have never played Mass Effect: Pinnacle Station, but it no longer appears to be available on Steam. This DLC now only appears to be available on Origin, from what I can see. I own Mass Effect on Steam, but the Steam CD key for the first Mass Effect game is not valid within Origin (the CD key for Mass Effect 2 is, but that's not going to help in this particular situation). Am I able to purchase Mass Effect: Pinnacle Station on Origin and then use it with my copy of Mass Effect from Steam, or am I going to need to repurchase Mass Effect on Origin in order to use the Mass Effect: Pinnacle

  • I'm trying to play BF3 but it won't let me. Whenever I click play it says to update the game, but when I click on update it just brings me back to my Origin application with all my installed games. Nothing shows it needs updating and it all says it is completely up to date. What do I need to do?

  • This is about the end of the game, so obviously there will be spoilers, be warned! I am at the end of the game, and tried to do the merging end. I manage to do it, get the FMV, and merge with the Mortality. Then, TNO goes to resurrect his companions. He starts by resurrecting Morte, and that's it. Morte stands in front of TNO, I can't talk to him, and he is not even part of my group. I can't access his inventory, can't see his stats, he is not in the group characters' bar. I have tried reloading previous saves several times with no success, and using previous saves didn't help either
