Last week I hit the Valor point cap (1000) and I had the Valor of the Ancients buff. This morning I logged on, and completed the Battlefield Barrens quest which awards 200 Valor points. I honestly cannot remember how many points did I have, but when I checked my weekly limit it showed that I had already reached 300/1000.
The other odd thing is that I still have Valor of the Ancients buff, considering I have no other characters with capped Valor points. My question is, is this a glitch that my cap is now at 300 or did I gain extra Valor due to my buff?
Edit: I should add that as of 10/7/2013 this does not happen anymore as the Valor of the Ancients Buff is not available when logging in after a reset. (I tried this today and got the 200 valor promised by the quest).
You gained the extra valor because you still had the Valor of the Ancients buff.
Why you still had the buff? Well, it seems that when you log-in after the reset, you keep the buff. It isn't checked and removed until you encounter a loading screen.
Therefore, if you are in Kalimdor before the reset, when you log-in next, you can finish the Battlefield Barrens quest and receive the extra 100 valor points (just don't do anything which will give you a loading screen).
Also, as you can collect the supplies for that quest without having the quest itself, you can farm enough, to be able to turn it in straight after the reset.
The same trick can be done with daily quests in Pandaria or Isle of Thunder. Not sure of the possible valor for completing each daily quest though. But remember you can only do one zone (Kalimdor, Pandaria or Isle of Thunder). In terms of least effort, Battlefield Barrens is the easiest.
Remember not to use any portals which quests might give access to.
Hope that helps.
Since the release of the Mists of Pandaria for World of Warcraft, the valor point cap per week has been adjusted to 1000 valor points per week. For one of the daily quests for the Order of the Cloud Serpents you can earn valor points for competing in a race on your cloud serpent; I am already valor capped this week, does using this item still give me 15 valor points (thus ignoring the cap) or are they wasted because I am over the valor point cap already?
I started D3 and logged into the game. My level 60(7) Barbarian was selected and I quick-joined a game with a level 60(4) character. Only the two of us were in the game. After some game-play, I had 4 or 5 Nephalem Valor (NV). I then returned to town and exited the game. A while later (possibly less than 30 minutes), I started the game again, logged in and quick-joined the same party, still with only the two of us present. I don't recall my NV buff at this point. I bannered to the other player just as an elite was being killed I think. A minute or so later I noticed I had 5 NV stacks, with 28

all their health is drained. However, after a whole hour of determination I managed to get them all by the waterfall on the left of the map. I was then able to drain their health and use unrelenting force which caused them to fall down the waterfall; eventually they went down so far that they literally fell off the map and disappeared. Now I'm wondering what will happen when I use any of the shouts that Tsun gives me: Word of Power – Hero, Call of Valor Word of Power – Champion, Call of Valor Word of Power – Legend, Call of Valor I wonder if they will still appear? Has anyone else tried this?
Does the monk buff enlightenment stack with other experience buffs? For example say you've got the rested bonus and an heirloom that gives 10% more experience gained, would this add up to 260% experience gained? Or if you have the rested bonus would the 50% be calculated as 50% of 200, making the total 300%? Or does enlightenment just not stack with rested/heirlooms at all?
, a Spirit Visage, and a Will of the Ancients. I used Tides of Blood while surrounded by 10+ minions and noticed no spell vamp. Magic dmg should have been ~450 to each minion, so 450 * (.25*.33) = ~37, not counting spirit visage. It's possible I just didn't do enough damage to trigger the floating text, but I started watching my health bar to see. It's difficult to tell since Tides of Blood damages Vlad when cast, but I still should have been gaining 300+ health. UPDATE It was late when I posted this, and I must have made a mistake. I was able to confirm last night that Tides of Blood does

There has been more than one time that I when back into a cave and there was more stuff in the chests. Do they reset after a number of days? Or is it a quest thing?
I reset my Dawnguard DLC. I've played Dawnguard against vampires and when I was finished with the main quest, I downloaded the Serana marriage mod from nexus and married her, but I decided on give Dawnguard another run. So I turned it off and made a new save. I drop the ring of matrimony and everything that could connected me to Serana and this time I sided with the vampires. But when I finished the main quest and told Valerica she could return to the castle, which she did, I put the amulet of Mara on and tried to propose to Serana again. However, this time after the first question (if she
