I beat Skeletron and recently learned this is supposed to cause the Clothier to spawn as an NPC, but this didn't happen in my world. How do I get the Clothier to spawn?
You need to have a house built with all the correct specifications for the npc to spawn and live there.
In order for the Clothier to spawn, ALL of the following must be met:
Once all three are met, give it a few in-game days and he'll arrive. The number one thing I would recommend checking is that your houses are built correctly. It would also be a good idea to create a couple extra homes in case one of them isn't built correctly or if there are multiple NPCs waiting to spawn.
A simple plan is to build an "apartment" building. In order for everyone to have a spot you will want at least 11 "apartments". This is for housing for all available NPC's and an extra one for you. The only annoying part of the apartment complex is that goblin/snowmen spawns may kill one or several of the NPC's so that they would have to regenerate.
After you have defeated Skeletron, you need to go and make a room that is 6 blocks tall and 10 blocks wide. Put a door on one side. Fill the room in with walls. Then place a table, a chair, and at least one torch inside. The floor must be blocks (not platforms), and make sure there is at least three open blocks on the floor that he can walk on.
After you have made that house with those requirements, just wait a bit and he will spawn. After he spawns, then you can improve on making his home look nice and whatnot.
I made a hunger games server a while ago and I need help setting spawn points in my arena. I want to use the same arena for ever single game. In the first arena I used world edit and set the points and created arena 1 and I set the spawn points sg setlobbyspawn next and it worked and set all of the 24 spawn points. In the second arena i used world edit once again and created the arena and when i try to set the spawn points, it sets an extra spawn point for my first arena not the second one.
When I join a server and try to move I am immediately pushed back to my spawn point. Please help me!
Why can't I leave my spawn location when I connect to a online game? Every time I connect to an online game and I try to move it keeps pulling me back to spawn location?
I have built a house in the sky with a Nether Portal in it. When I go into the Nether Portal everything is perfectly fine but when I go back home I don't spawn back in the portal I used to go into the Nether; I spawn in a new Nether Portal somewhere on the ground far from my original portal. Is the problem that my Nether Portal is in the sky?
In the latest vanilla Minecraft server, spawn-protection and the radius in which players first spawn are identical. If, for example, I want to protect a 100-block-wide village around spawn, players without personally set spawn points will spawn anywhere in that 100x100 area. This is different from all of the documentation I see, which states spawning only occurs in a 20x20 area. Is there any way in the latest version to limit the area in which players spawn so that it is less than my spawn-protection area?
In Terraria, I built a house a little ways away from where I spawn. But, when I re-join/ respawn, it puts me back at that spawn point, which gets very annoying. Is there a way to move my spawn point?
I've had an Ace of Spades server I can play on with my friends, but I'm new to the Pysnip servers and such. How do I change the spawn point of players? I've just loaded up the Nuketown map, but it seems all the players spawn in the water and die. This happens with both Nuketown and Nuketown 1.4. P.S. I can just turn water damage off, but then the players have to swim back to the island every time.
Is it possible to have more than one spawn point (Red and Blue spawn points) in a map I am creating? It might be uploaded to a server, but I'd like to know a server and a client way.
There is a feature in minecraft, that an arrow will break item frames. However, on SMP server users can protect their regions and the region is smart enough to check the origin ID of the arrow. Still, I wonder if anyone could mess up with our spawn's crafting tutorials (which are made of item frames). One way would be leading a skeleton archer to the spawn, but I guess that would require inhuman patience. Also, dispenser arrows seem to be anonymous, but in my case that's something don't have to worry about.

Can hostile mobs spawn on leaves regardless of graphic mode (fast or fancy) in Beta 1.8.1? I know this has been asked before for an older version of the game and the answer was yes if in fast mode, but since the game has changed so much since then, I'm wondering if the answer might
