It appears I have missed the graveyard scene for the quest and nothing I do will trigger it.
requires a key and talking to the guards and people do nothing.
Talking to Jorleif about buying the house only makes him say that there's a mess.
Possible Duplicate: How can I start the Blood on the Ice quest? This answer indicates that if the steward in Windhelm won't sell me the house or give me the quest to find the murderer, then I can start it by finding a body in the graveyard and talking to the guard. I've visited the graveyard at night, but I can't find the body or the guard. What should I do? Or is that answer incorrect?
I am in my second play through Skyrim. I am trying to catch all the things I missed in the first play through. But this play through I completed Blood on the Ice quest first. It was bugged in my... was unable to purchase Hjerim (sided with the Imperials + Blood on the Ice quest never triggered.) I plan on siding with the Imperials again this time also, but after the main quest. My question is I have been asked to plant evidence by Vex into say Clan Cruel-Sea, or Shatter-Shield for that matter, if I do that, will it break something further down? Will my choices to help Delvin and Vex plant
and advance the quest. I want to mark Wolfskull cave cleared. I have the following commands, but they do not work. I get a compile script error. Area Ids Wolfskull Cave : 000151F6 Wolf Skull Ruins...I cleared out Wolfskull cave for Falk Firebeard in the quest titled Man Who Cried Wolf. Then I joined the College of Winterhold, where Urag asked me to find Shalidor's writings as part of the quest Shalidor's Insights. This UESP page tells me I should have finished the Shalidor quest before the Wolf Queen's. I did not know that since Shalidor's quest a radiant quest. My first playthrough I
According to UESP, the 1.4 patch included a fix for the "...issue where the player house in Windhelm would not clean up properly". However, after applying the update and loading a game where I'd already completed Blood on the Ice and fully upgraded Hjerim, my house is still a mess! Is there anything that needs to be done to trigger the cleanup? Or, is this something that is only fixed for new games or games where the quest has not yet been completed?
For the house in wind helm you have to complete the quest blood on the ice, but there's a glitch in my game and it won't let me start the quest. The graveyard is empty at night , no dead body. Really far back in the game I had killed nilsine and tova killed herself but when I went to the house of shattershield her body wasn't there, only her note. So I can't get the key to hjerim from her or the steward so is there another place I could get the key?
In the quest, Retaking Thirsk, you need to help a group of Nords kill all the Rieklings in the Thirsk Mead Hall. While in the quest, The Chief of Thirsk Hall, you need to help the Rieklings in the Thirsk Mead Hall kill all of the aforementioned Nords. This means that I will have to choose a side. What are the advantages and disadvantages of siding with either the Nords or the Rieklings in these quests? The UESP wiki states that (from the Retaking Thirsk article): This quest has no rewards except making a blacksmith and a Heavy Armor trainer available[verification needed— see talk
add through console commands will be powered up as I would like my follower(s) to use the Ebony Blade too. Note: I have the Unofficial Skyrim Patch (USKP) installed which fixes bugs related..., will that Ebony Blade also be powered up? If not, how do I power it up? Do I have to kill people again per console command-added Ebony Blade? If I give a console command-procured Ebony Blade to a follower... that are killed with the blade, Mephala will speak to you". Mephala never spoke to me while I did the killing, so I finished the Ebony Blade's related quest (The Whispering Door) without using console
Some folks have had trouble with their mannequins disappearing once you hang armor on them. My problem's worse - for me, the mannequin never appeared in the first place! I bought Vlindrel Hall, the player house in Markarth. There is supposed to be a mannequin in the living room once you buy the living room furnishings, as I did before I went inside the house for the first time. Unfortunately... the mannequin truly doesn't exist, or has glitched itself into a place the player cannot reach or see. How might I fix this?
I'm on the last level, Chapter VI, of "At the Summit of Apocrypha"... I just killed the two seekers and a lurker, went to the wall, learned a new word...and nothing. I used the following console commands... player.placeatme 04039B6B If someone does not have the full bend will shout... player.teachword 040179D9 player.teachword 040179DA player.teachword 040179DB ...this does unfortunately not take me to Miraak though it was close, Sahrotaar just flies around endlessly. I'm playing the PC version.
